This little app is incredible. It really does do everything, do it just like it says it does, and do it all well. Download, and then feel free to delete all of your other file management applications because, trust me, you won't be using them any more after installing this. You won't need to!

I downloaded this on a lark, just to see what it might do, and the first thing I noticed were tabs for "My Cloud" and "Network". Fine, lets check those out. Direct access to Dropbox and Box.net? Well, that just made my sideloaded Dropbox app superfluous. Network tab, clicked on Windows/Samba, search for server, and it found my server at home immediately. Within a couple more clicks I could transfer files to/from my media server: music, movies, torrents, whatever. Then I saw that File Expert is more than just a file manager, it also includes a solid simple App manager. Delete existing apps? Check. Install new apps? OMGWTFBBQ! Yeah, a couple of clicks later and I have Dolphin HD and MoboPlayer. No more tortuous craptastic sideloading for me!

when I first purchased a kindle fire, I was horrified at how difficult it could be to locate a file. file expert allowed me to quickly and easily locate a file in a windows like manner (I grew up using windows) . the gallery that came with the kindle was disorganised and had no respect for file root directories. file expert has become my default explorer program from now on. you can even open some files directly with file expert.

this file manager is absolutely the best, and trust me, I tried them all. what doesn't it do? little smb server ftp server, connects to my mac and to my western digital live tv. oh, and it also manages files on the sd card. does compression decompression, uninstalls apps, has themes and is just all around awesome. oh, it also allows you to customize what buttons are prominent in the menu. this application is great. thanks developer! price is awesome too.
