The recording quality is fine, and it basically does what it says it will do; but...

What they don't tell you is that the files for a single recording are created in chunks (file parts) that must be reassembled using a utility such as MP4Box if you want to be able to export the files to your computer or external drive for portability.

They don't tell you it will take 5-6 weeks to deliver until you place the order.

When it finally arrived it was broken right out of the box. I waited another month for them to replace it. The replacement lasted only a few months before it also failed. I expected more for 700 bucks; a lot more!

I've just ordered a Hauppauge PVR for about 200 bucks. I hope I'll have better luck.

Don't waste your time and money on the Gefen!
