3.0 out of 5 stars "OK"
The video card does have a low profile bracket, so it did fit in my slim profile Dell computer case. It was purchased to increase the Second Life play experience. It was an improvement over the original video card, but did not give the level of graphic support desired: it supported only a medium resolution level, rather than a high level. It also did make quite a bit of...

Nvidia Geforce 7300GS, Low Profile Support / 256MB DDR2 / Pci-express /support D I recently purchased a slim profile Dell desktop and wanted to boost the graphics so my wife could enjoy her time in "Second Life." The card arrived as promised; contained everything needed to install in the express slot and had the short adapters for the case as well as an adapter for DVI/VGA monitor use. I needed to go to the website to download the correct drivers for Vista. Booted fine and is easy to tweak to prefered settings. Been running a month now with no noticeable gliches. I would reccomend the card if you are not looking for intense gaming use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast Card, July 5, 2008

I purchased this card so that I could play games on my computer. I could play games before the purchase but I after I installed it I was amazed at how crisp everything looked.

The only thing I had a small problem with is that it didn't really come with any instructions. I have a slim Dell and it took me a couple of minutes searching online to figure out what I had to do to install the low profile brackets(that did come with the purchase). In the future I would suggest that they place instructions in the box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Graphics card - Boxed version, July 11, 2008
This review is from: Nvidia Geforce 7300GS, Low Profile Support / 256MB DDR2 / Pci-express /support D (Personal Computers)
This is a good graphics card for my non-game purposes, and very easy to install. Although Amazon's ad does not say so, this card is a boxed retail version with two low profile brackets included. If you have a slimline case, such as a Dell 530s desktop, you do not need to buy any extra brackets as recommended by Amazon in their ad.

Some reviews of this product on other sites mention a very loud fan, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fan is hardly noticeable - my hearing is good! :)

Overall, an excellent product. Slight noise with cooling fan, but generally not noticeable and seems to go away with use. My experience is that a video card without its own cooling fan goes bad quickly.

I had a video problem with my system and bought this card to replace the Nvidia-based card I had in the system. Didn't fix the problem and ended up having to replace the motherboard, but have been using this card in the system for a month now with no problem. I'm not a gamer, so can't speak to its usefulness there, but it works fine for watching full-screen (Netflix) streams and I can't out-type it (smile). Pretty much all I ask for in a video card.

Had no problems swapping the connecter plates to use in a low-profile Dell. The noise does not seem to be enough to be noticable over the building's HVAC system.

The video card does have a low profile bracket, so it did fit in my slim profile Dell computer case. It was purchased to increase the Second Life play experience. It was an improvement over the original video card, but did not give the level of graphic support desired: it supported only a medium resolution level, rather than a high level. It also did make quite a bit of noise, which isn't noticeable if playing music at the same time, but can get tiring if not. If you are looking to improve a "Second Life" gaming experience, I would recommend getting a higher performance video card.
