I bought this along with nelson's sleep aid, just out of curiousity. I've stayed away from herbal treatments ever since i had a really bad experience with taking st johns wort. that stuff messed me up permanantly... After 8 years of being anti - herbal/homeopathic remedies, i decided to try these out because i am getting a little paranoid about the long term effects of all the medications i am taking for everyday ailments... and because of the cool looking packaging... i've seen the boiron ones that twist- but these work like a retractible ball point pen. you flip it upside down press the base twice to drop 2 pilliules into the cap and toss them back.

I was REALLY hesitant about the taste... i expected both products to be bitter- but they're actually sweet and candy like... which is good and bad... good because it makes you look forward to taking it... bad because you get tempted just to sit there and eat them like candy.

i bought the gelsemium for my bronchitis, but i started taking the gelsemium because on the packaging it said it was also used for runny noses... since i had a runny nose and no current problems with bronchitis- i started to take it. after maybe 15-30 minutes of my first dosage- my runny nose stopped. the directions say to take 2 pilliules every 2 hours but i only needed to take it maybe every 4 to 6. i also slept throughout the night without having to wake up to take another dose.

i am definately going to be more open minded about homeopathic remedies now- seeing as how this one actually works, looks cool, and tastes great. there are other brands with the same pilliule concept- but i'll stick with nelson's just for the unique packaging.

the product it's self deserves five stars- but i subtracted a star because the gelsemium i was sent expired in july 2005. i've ordered from mothernature.com before- and if you live in washington- the free shipping is insanely fast- i think i got my orders the 2nd day. if you live in texas it takes about a week. i love this company- and if you order through peta's link they will donate a portion of your sales to peta. but... the expired product did put somewhat of a damper on how confident i am in how long a product has been sitting in their warehouse.
