This book is breath-taking. It's a drama about, love, hate, and revenge that sucessfully blends science, romance, and the paranormal. The characters are wonderfully portrayed and unique. This book held my complete attention from first page to the last sentence. Supernatural elements, fast-paced action, and some passionate love scenes make THE GEM AND THE STAR entertainment at it's best. Ms. Kilgren has done an excellent job of it. This book definitely rates keeper status.
