4.0 out of 5 stars gemini cfx-30, not bad at all, April 4, 2008

This review is from: Gemini CFX-30 Professional FX CD Player (Electronics)
Nice unit. Was looking for a 3rd player to go with my denon dns-1000's for mixing acapellas and drops without the pioneer tax, but was surprised at the features.

Great effects and extemely flexible and programmable.

The effects are better then units costing 4 times as much and the sampling is a nice feature as well. Has scratching too, but I don't really scratch with cd decks.

Build quality is great too. Gemini used to have a reputation for less than quality product in the 80's and 90's but they have really improved a great deal. Unit is heavy like it should be and the buttons are sturdy.

Auto cue is useless though. You can engage it but it doesn't get rid of the start space to find the first kick automatically. You will have to manually cue by frames to get it, but you'll get used to it. It doesn't do mp3s which can be a bummer for home dj'ing, not so much for live spinning.

Overall a bargain if you can find it under $200 like I did. Recommended.
