This review is from: Gemini CX1000 2-way 3 Way Crossover XLR Out (Electronics)
I bought this unit to use in a bi-amped stereo system. The output from my Dynaco preamp (circa 1962) is split by the crossover and the higher frequencies are sent to a Dyanoco Stereo 70 tube amp, while the lower frequencies are sent to a new 160 watt solid state amp. The crossover is excellent. It is essentially noisles and has a wide range crossover frequencies and gains for each channel. I am very pleased with the performance of the unit. Well worth the price.

I was using this Xover for home use, bi amping my H/T main speakers. I will say that the CX1000 is very easy to use and has a simple interface but all those op-amps created to much grain for hi-fi use. I also had a problem with a hum through the ground and a very noisy transformer that hummed like a power substation. I think that humming aside, the Gemini could probably work for Home theater duty but is just too unrefined for 2 channel music.
