Customer Reviews

Its all ergonomically laid out too, and surprisingly easy to use.

The equipment they sell is horrible and their tech support & customer service is the worst in the industry!!

Not only recommend, as I would say Gemini did the best job ever on this equipment.

The equipment looks even more impressive when it's in front of you. It's is not cheaply made and actually very unexpensive for what it offers. It's not a CDJ, but keep in mind that the entire set costs about half as much as one CDJ-400 alone, so, you can't beat the price. Not only recommend, as I would say Gemini did the best job ever on this equipment. BTW, if you buy one of these, you gotta pick up on of the Gemini cases for it as well.

I have always thought of Gemini products as being mid-market products at best, and probably more leaning towards the lower end of the pro audio market. One year ago I decided to take a chance on the Gemini CDMP 6000 because of its feature set and specs, and have been very pleasantly surprised. The first thing one notices is that the unit appears to be well made - it has a solid and well finished look and feel to it, and the plethora of knobs, buttons and sliders plus jog wheels all seem to be well calibrated and smooth, and function well. Its all ergonomically laid out too, and surprisingly easy to use. This unit really has everything you could need in terms of readouts and adjustments, whether you are into high level DJing with beat matching, scratching and all that, or more sedate mixing as I often tend to do. In addition to having every imaginable feature, it also sounds great! I think its a very good buy for the money! Initially I bought it as a stop-gap until I could afford a pair of pioneer CDJ players with separate mixer, but now I am in no hurry because this unit has proven to be so good.

Being an audiophile who has recently made the transition to mobile DJ, I like to spin CDs and certainly am not very keen on the lower resolution of MP3s. Every now and then I do use them, via a USB stick. The unit also reads higher resolution wav files which I prefer. I do find that the USB functionality on the CDMP 6000 can be a little slower than I would ideally like in terms of completing the initial read and and displaying the folders and files of a USB disk drive. This is because it searched the entire root directory for readable files before displaying them. The initial read of a large disk/drive can therefore take a while.

It's a very impressive equipment for the low price. It's just a shame it doesn't have fx or hot cues.

this really is a cdj/usb mixer... which is why i bought it. little did i know that thats all it can do.
now it is a great tool in mixing! great for the price too... but my only flaw with it was that when i had alot of songs on my usb, it would take a very long time to reach the particular song that i am looking for, and that frustrates me. it would've been awesome if there was a faster way to scroll thru songs!!!

great mixer though!!!

The Gemini CDMP-6000 is absolute garbage! Gemini Sound is NOT the same company they used to be. The equipment they sell is horrible and their tech support & customer service is the worst in the industry!! I tried THREE of these units and all of them had major issues...static sound from the master out, CD player not working, CD trays not closing properly, etc., etc., etc. Do yourself a huge favor and don't buy anything from Gemini. Consider yourself warned!!!
