Finally, a book on gemstones and healing that goes beyond mere descriptions and remedies. This book has the most vivid and clear photography I've ever seen on crystals. In addition to that, Dr. Shelley Kaehr does a remarkable job in sharing with the reader her "experience" of working with these gems of Mother Gaia. This is not another clinical treatise on the subject, Dr. Kaehr strikes gold again with another excellent adventure!

This is just a great book! Many stones are listed and the pictures are great, very clear. When you go to purchase a stone, bring this book with you for easy reference. The text is interesting, never boring. Goes a little beyond the basics, but not too wordy. Dr. Kaehr discusses how and why gem healing works. Also, there are chapters on selecting stones, cleaning them, making elixirs (easier than I thought!),and how to use them for healing purposes. Speaking from experience, you can carry a stone in your pocket or put one under your pillow. Just go by the guidelines in this book and see for yourself how well stones can work for you. It's amazing!

A great gift. I'm giving this book and a stone to all my friends for their birthdays this year. It's only Januaury and I've given 6. All have loved receiving it and I feel very good giving it!

Anyone interested in the effects of gemstones on their own (or others') energy levels will find this a good place to start. The books is well written, as is usual with Dr. Kaehr, and provides good information.

Great read and reference book! It has good information for the beginner and the advance believers.
