Ive had this system for years and finally had to throw it out. The system works flawlessly, but the controllers are terrible. They are often to use for game playing, and they dont last at all. Now the best part, they are NOT REPLACEABLE. You can only use these controllers with this system, so when they break (and they will), you are out of luck. Enjoy!

I got this to cut down on a bit of clutter (non-working Nintendo and Genesis sat on my TV stand for a year without being used once) and to be able to play some of my old favorites again. It worked on the first try, the controllers are okay (though better for Genesis than NES because the NES buttons are reversed) and the picture is better than I expected. The two negatives I have had are that it can't really be left on overnight (it froze up) and I had a hiccup while playing "Baseball Stars" that caused the game to fail and the memory to erase. Aerobiz Supersonic for Genesis has yet to have a problem after one month of use. For $50 including shipping, this is a far superior buy than most anything. And it's already more reliable than a XBOX!

This unit brings back so many memories. My kids can play the games that occupied my time for hours, perfecting their skills. Then I can come in and crush them!!!

bwahahahaha!

There are so many problems with this I don't know where to begin. The manufacturing tolerances are extremely loose - you may or may not be able to get the cartridge lined up properly when you stick it in the spring door. You have to feel around to find the right spot vs being guided by the shape of the case. The video jumps around constantly. Most of the time it starts up to a blank screen of death. It refuses to play 2 player games on the NES side. The color representation is terrible, mario's face in mario 1 looks dark brown. Breathing on the machine makes it glitch out and have to reset. The rapid fire buttons on the controller are nice but in today's world I have to leave the system in the middle of the floor to make the controller cords reach. The buttons also seem to only work when they want to
