If your electrical panel is in the basement or an interior room, you'll need to mount this power inlet box on the exterior of your house or building and hardwire generator connection to the transfer switch. During an outage, connect your generator to this power inlet box. 50 Amps. For generators up to 12,500 watts. NEMA 3R-rated aluminum enclosure won't rust. CS-6365 male inlet. UL Listed.

63652 Option: 50 amp Aluminum PIB Avoid keeping your garage door open or running a generator cord through a door or window! Gen/Tran Power Inlet Boxes provide safety, convenience, and protection. Available with or without a circuit breaker, this power inlet box is what you need to safely install a generator plug on the outside of a structure. Features: -Raintight Design: Generator cord connection is oriented on the bottom face of the unit so it is raintight even when the generator cord is connected. -UL tested and certified to UL standard 231 for power outlets. Optional circuit breakers are certified for UL 489. -Simple Installation: NEMA 3R box is suitable for surface mounting outdoors. Good quality product. Comes with the connector. No problems with installation. You do need to determine what size wire to use based on the length of run from this box to the transfer panel.

Quality product , arrived on time ,easy to install but I feel that it's overpriced.Still cheaper than purchasing direct from Gentran.Any accessories that you purchase for your generator are expensive.I think that if you can afford a generator they feel that you can afford the overpriced accessories.
