I found the book, Gender in the Music Industry (Ashgate Popular and Folk Music Series), by Marion Leonard to be particularly helpful for research for a paper in one of my writing classes at college. The book is separated into a number of sections discussing music and the female role in the industry. It is useful for undergraduate students because it thoroughly describes different subjects about music that are often overlooked. Not only is it full of useful information, it is easy to understand and separated into sections where information is easily found. I would recommend this book to other students.
