Watch for Jeff Skinner's rising star. One of the best poets writing today, his work gets better with every book. Gender Studies is tender, intelligent, beautifully crafted, and moving. Skinner knows that what connects us, human to human, is not just ideas but also emotions. His poems give us both---fresh, interesting, exciting poems that a reader can return to again and again. I can't wait for his next book.
