I have known Kathleen for a long time and was pleasantly surprised to find she had become an author. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read this on my PC and couldn't stop reading, even though my rear end was beginning to think I would never move again.
Can't wait for the next in the series. I do hope this is going to be a series. This book was just the right length, and she got to the plot right away. I really enjoyed meeting Collin and his wife. I thought there was just the right touch of humor as well.
Today, when there is so much cursing and gratuitous sex in most books, it was refreshing to read a book that had none of that. It was really nice to be able to read a story that held my attention and I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next.

Thanks, Kathleen. Please keep them coming.

I started reading and like the novel. The novel starts with interesting idea of using genes for finding diseases and as an evidence for divorce. Colin and Dr Holt poking around people's gene is interesting.

This novel is an interesting combination of romance and science fiction.

I recommend this for folks who like science fiction and detective work.

The story was interesting. Could have been a little longer with more involved circumstances. I will definitely try another book or two.

The characters in this novel are warm, real people. The plot concerns cutting edge genetic manipulation supported by the use of unwitting innocents. The horror is not overdone, but it is clear. Collin Carter is not some super-duper hyper-ripped cardboard hero with infallible instincts, he is a loving family man whose best investigatory feature is sheer doggedness backed by courage and a strong moral fiber. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and bought the sequel in e-book form.
