I'm sure everyone will see this thing and go "Ohhhh look this will be useful in case of a zombie uprising to power our house, while we cower in the basement and watch old Star Trek The Next Generation Tapes" But let's think that through for a second, ladies and gents...

First, you're going to get it shipped to your house and then just have it sit there? Nothing is worse than buying something you never get to use. This would be like car insurance times approximately 2,700. (I have a few speeding tickets). Plus, once everyone sees it go up and the zombie Armageddon DOES come raining down on your head, guess where ALL your neighbors are going to congregate? "Hey Jim, yeah I know I borrowed your riding mower a few months ago and gave it back with a chipped blade, but we're out of leather to boil and eat and my family is slowly going insane from the constant low moans and scratching outside their door, if we could maybe just get in there for an hour and get a hot shower and recharge our emergency radio..." You're not going to say no to that, because you're a sucker.

The trick to surviving the zombie uprising is to be PROACTIVE. Sure you could turn your house into a fortress and simply hunker down to wait for the undead to rot away, OR you could create your own zombie army to unleash upon the ravaging plague of the undead! And how do you do that? Well, I'm not going to tell, but let me assure you a large component of the process is a vast amounts of barely channeled energy, and maybe waiting around for a lighting storm worked in 1856 for Dr. Frankenstein, but as a busy Notary Public/Mad Scientist on the go, I need a reliable source of God-blaspheming power to raise my loyal horde of zombies.

We live pretty far out in the middle of nowhere here on 15 acres so I figured we will be one of the untouched areas when the zombie apocalypse occurs. We decided dropping $25,000 on a self contained little city would be perfect. Got solar panels for it and don't have to worry about diesel. We are also in the process of attempting to fortify it with lead sheeting to prevent radiation poisioning in case of fallout. It is pretty rommy inside. We are fit all 6 kids with cots and have plenty of storage for food and the 2 milking goats and 7 chickens. Now it is just a waiting game. Would recommend to anyone who knows the end is nigh and wants to survive in a world gone to the undead. It is not "if" anymore - it is when...

This is the best standby generator with free delivery on the market today. The near silent operation is perfect as this machine takes up a fair chunk of my bedroom and I'm trying to hide it from my parents. I would have given it 5 stars but they didn't put a warning to not drink the liquid coolant.

These Guardian generators are the bees knees. I have a wonderful studio apartment but unfortunately the power goes out on occasion.

When I found out these were on sale for only $27k (and change), and FREE SHIPPING to boot, I had to jump on such a deal.
As I live in the middle of the city, I had to rent a crane to hoist this behemoth onto the roof of the 20 story apartment building I live in. The crane was pretty large and expensive to rent (I had to pay around $5000 to rent the crane).

Everything was going along pretty well. We had the unit hoisted to the point that we were nearly at the point of setting it onto the roof when the man who owns the building showed up. Usually the only time I see this man is when I'm behind on my rent by at least 60 days so I thought there was a possibility that I had forgotten to pay my rent again. Fortunately, he wasn't there about the rent. This is when things started going badly. He asked what I was doing and I told him about the killer deal I got on the generator and that my power goes out on occasion and rather than have to sit in the dark without the ability to watch tv or surf the internet, I can now have my own power generation system as a backup.

The apartment manager had a few choice derogatory expletives and screamed at me to get the generator off the roof or that he would be calling the police.

Long story short, I had to rent a storage unit to store this generator until such time that I was able to buy a place in the country with no managers to prevent me from installing a generator.

Hopefully those of you who live in the city can learn from my experience.

Decent unit. But I had to spread out the payment over 598 credit cards. I'm hoping the zombie apocalypse happens before it's paid off.

Well it took roughly 3 weeks to arrive, and with free delivery I was like.... There must be a catch? But supprisingly no. Thanks to amazon its free shipping. All I can say is this is just amazing. So useful and with such a good deal on, I knew that I would see later in the month on a higher price and think AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

However I got mine from here, it's the same generator but even cheaper with more than 13% off.
