If you own one of these cars and want to do work on it yourself this is a must have manual. It has step by step instructions and illustrations. Very useful for things you have never done before even the more complex repairs. Helps save lots of money by doing your own repairs.

Haynes used to make one of the best repair books in the business for the home mechanic. But now they leave to much out. Very little in the way of wiring diagrams. Many things unclearly written as well. They give little more than hints sometimes. OK for the guy that knows what he is doing, but lacking for the rest of those interested in saving money on their own repairs. Next time it will be Chiltons. My car in question is Chevrolet Cavalier. I will say that I own several Haynes books and those others seem to better than this one.

I am a 26 year old chick, I have used this book to do so many things to my car myself, saving myself I don't know how many thousands of dollars!

You really can't go wrong buying one of these manuals right after you get a new or used car, its just so helpful.
Also, any time something skimps in the book on detail, I just call an auto parts store and they fill in the blanks, this is so worth the money.

Manual had step by step directions that even a novice (like me) was able to work on his car successfully. Made back my money on gas money alone after 1 repair.

It is amazing that there is so much repairs that an average person can do...if they know what is where & how to do it--these type of books help w/that.

Car repair manuals are terrific to have--especially if you have an older car as they are the ones that seem to need the most repairs.

I save like $300 in labor by doing the brakes. This book will be paid off the first time you use it.

I ordered the book because I have a window motor in my car that needs replaced and I've run into a few issues with it so I thought I'd buy the manual to see if there'd be any helpful hints or pointers. No such luck. The book told me everything I already knew I needed to do but no tips on how to make it easier or prevent myself from breaking the glass of my window. Oh well...i'm sure it will be helpful for other things down the road.
