If you are after the car in the picture dont be surprised if it turns up with ORANGE wheels. I was very dispointed as the picture shows black. My son who is a General Lee fan was disappointed as it looks silly with ORANGE wheels. The seller does not answer my emails so not much I can do except buy another one somewhere else. The wheels are also squeaky straight out of the box.

This car is a well built design of the original car. The hood opens but not the doors or trunk. Of course Dukes fans know that the doors shouldn't open anyways. Great quality product and shipped well too!

this is a great replica of the genral lee however only the hood opens and everything else is not openable. its hard metal body makes it durable and i rated it high for educational reason because its a good way to teach the young how old muscle cars were and what they were famous for. however if you are looking for a much better replica i recomend you purchase the 1:18 scale ERTL general lee replica. i have that one too and its just perfect scale and looks dead identical to the actual car.

Great car! Very detailed and authentic to the duke's car on the tv show. Coloration is vibrant and eye catching! One problem: the scale of the car is just too small for my taste as i wanted it for my display with my larger scaled models. It's now displayed in my guest room and is well received by all who rest there. A nice piece of southern nostalgia.

Gave a one star because had to give at least that. Would rather give a negative. Not at all what was advertised. The orange wheel General Lee is worth $200 but the one sent was a plain one worth $18.00. Talked to seller and he stated that was correct and none if the ones he was selling had orange wheels. He knew he was being deceptive. Will never buy anything from this person or company again!!!!!

My 7 year old grandson loved this toy. It is just as described. I know he will have lots of fun and hours of play with this. The re-runs of Dukes of Hazzard are on TV where he lives, and that's his favorite program, so he was thrilled to get this for Christmas in 2014. Some of the reviews I saw of this, said the tires were orange when they received theirs. This one was black just like the box advertised. Great toy.

Bought this for a 7 yr. old boy who is a major Dukes of Hazzard fan. I actually bought him one of these cars 2 years ago and it held up pretty well I guess seeing as it took him 2 years to need a replacement. These cars seem to be quite durable.

The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee is a beautiful recreation by Johnny Lightning. It is a 1:25 not 1:24 scale model.
This Car was also previously released by ERTL, in a 1:64, 1:25 and 1:18 scale.
Not much difference in the JL versions.
The 1:25 scales have opening hoods only, doors and trunk are sealed shut.
Johnny Lightning added the "White Lightning and Lightning Strike".
The White lightning features White Wheels and a White engine.
The Lightning Strikes features body paint matching Orange Wheels.
Both are Highly collectible Diecast Car.
White Lightnings are produced at the Rate of 2% total production.
That makes them hard to find and Rare.
While these cars are ment for retail sale, you may never see one on the shelf.
Their value is not lost on store merchants or clerks who stock these items.
Most find their way straight to collectors through one avenue or another.
The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee is a beautiful diecast in common form, however for "curb appeal" the "White Lightnings" are the "cream of the crop".
As for Value, White Lightnings like diamonds fluctuate with the market.
If you are a "serious collector", This is a must have.
Television cars have always been popular diecast models.
This is a good model to own Regular or White lightning.
Tips: 1. Keeping your diecast car looking new is easy using a non wax based acrylic paint conditioner.
There is no wax buildup, residue, mess or buffing involved just add a few drops of acrylic paint conditioner to a damp paper towel.
Use it on the whole car, wheels windows and body.
2. Keep your Box! it adds value to the car if you ever decide to sell it.
It also provide a save place to store or pack your car when transporting.
