Terrific pocket radio,
By
This review is from: GE 72585 Pocket Radio (Electronics)
It's true, as other reviewers have noted, that this unit won't give you the sort of reception you might expect from a larger, higher-priced unit. On the other hand, this is an excellent pocket-sized radio for toting along to the ballgame, carrying along on a hike or to the park, or tucking next to your pillow in bed. It's very thin and light, and the controls are all flush with the case, so it packs well. It won't fill a room with sound - it's not intended to - but it plays loud enough to listen to from a few feet, and the headphone jack can be used for private listening. Overall this is a nice, up-to-date rendition of the classic pocket radios from the 1950s dawn of the transistor.

The GE Pocket Radio is fantastic for worker bees such as myself. The reception is great, and the size can't be beat. I can take it anywhere: work, the beach, even the car! This purchase was so worth the money. Anyone who loves listening to the radio needs this handy gadget.

This is a handy little radio that is pretty darn rugged. It went to South America for the summer and performed pretty well under very adverse conditions. Battery use was great. It now resides in the small Paraguayan village of Costa Jhu, receiving lots of soccer games I am told. For the price, it's a gem.
