Nice microwave, but do this...,

The product arrived perfectly shipped and timely, no complaints. The microwave itself is very nice, I like the strengths of the fan and the light for the over the stove use. The only problem I had was the instructions were really vague on mounting the back panel. It's really difficult to do the measurements and get the unit to line up correctly, and if you're like me, installing into mostly sheetrock, you can't really go back and correct a hole by a quarter of an inch without repairing the old hole and trying again. Quite frustrating, and confusing, because the instructions for aligning the top were perfect. I just put the layout up, marked and cut my holes, no problem. I highly recommend getting a piece of cardboard and making screw holes first, as a template before you install. My final project ended up tilting slightly downward, but not enough to make the unit unusable or unsafe. The product, packaging, and shipping all get five stars, but the vague (and important!) instructions, maybe a three.Also, MAKE SURE you have at least one stud above your oven before you install. It doesn't matter where, and two are actually recommended, but with the three supporting bolts at the top, and the mounting bracket attached to at least one stud, I had no problems. It's a great price, but take your time installing! Good luck! |
