Love stories like Brenda and Sonny, Robin and Stone, to break through stories like Allen drug addiction to Stone's AIDS Story. God this book will make you scream in glee or shead a few tears. 3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't go far enough.
I started watching GH in 2007 and this book was recommended to get background on the show. But because the book was published in 1990's,the information was published a decade too early for me to enjoy. I was looking for background published much later since many of the books characters are no longer on the show and many of todays GH characters are not mentioned in the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, Fabulous, Spectacular!!!, March 16, 1999
By A Customer
I am a die-hard General Hospital fan and The Complete Scrapbook helped me, a younger viewer, understand all of the unspoken connections and the history of the character's. The only thing I wish for is a newer version to include the Liz and Lucky romance, as well and the Jason, Robin, Michael, and Carly scenario! Comes Highly Recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonder collection of GH Memories, December 30, 2002
By
This book is fantastic. It's a great source of information about your favorite characters before you started watching as well as a tool for remembering who did what in past story lines. The pictures are also a great jog down memory lane. I only wish they'd come out with a more recent edition.

4.0 out of 5 stars GH Book Worth Adding to Your Collection, April 7, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: General Hospital: The Complete Scrapbook (Paperback)
I was extremely happy to finally get a beautifully written and pictured book of my favorite soap opera. It has a prominent place in my collection. My only problem with it (thus the 4 stars) is that I feel the characters of Anna and Robert Scorpio were simply "brushed" over. They were prominent and carried the show from the mid-80's until their departures in 1991 and 1992. I feel they were significantly downplayed in the book. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading it and remembering some of my favorite storylines.

5.0 out of 5 stars Required reading for all long-time GH fans & new viewers, July 10, 1998
By A Customer
This well-written, all-encompassing compendium, details the GH plots and sub-plots from the premiere episode (April 1, 1963) through the 1995 storylines (Monica's cancer, Ned and Lois' romance). It is, without a doubt, the best way for any new viewer to research the history of his/her favorite characters or to understand the rich background on which the show still draws so heavily. PC viewers will find the text helpful as well, since the Scotty/Lucy/Kevin connection is well documented. Warner's book includes not only the complete stories organized by year, but sections on weddings, heroes, lovers, the Qs, and backstage photos. Any GH fan will love this book. Hopefully, Warner will issue an update soon so that we will have all of GH chronicled from start of show to the millenium.

5.0 out of 5 stars "A Page-Turner", July 5, 2011

With the cancellation of both "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" by ABC in 2011, "General Hospital's" future doesn't look very bright. What makes matters worse is the announcement by the network that in September, 2012 "General Hospital's" timeslot is going back to the affiliates leaving the hospital serial's future in doubt. Soap operas have been killed by shoddy producers, writers, and network executives and this is no more evident than at ABC. It's hard to imagine but 30 short years ago ABC was making a million dollars a week in ad revenue just off "General Hospital" as their ratings were that high. Now all that is a memory.

So, I was ecstatic to find this coffee-table style book on the long-running series that was printed in 1995. The book is filled with both black and white photos as well as color snap shots of the show's first 3 decades on the air. There's also interviews, story highlights, and so much more in this impeccable and well-researched book.

If your a fan of soaps, particularly "General Hospital", this is a great momento to cherish for years to come.
