After many years and several different clock/timers, I like this one the best. Four timer/countdown options - plus the clock - allow you to juggle tasks without losing track. I even use it as an alarm clock. I tend to hyper-focus when I work so using this timer allows me to forget about future tasks until the timer goes off. I use it to remind me to make phone calls, to check the washer, to feed the dogs, to take medication, to get ready for appointments, to move from one scheduled task to the next without losing track of time, etc. The main thing is I don't have to clutter my head with time juggling thoughts. Also, since I rely on this clock/timer so much I usually have two -- one for home & one for my purse. Plus, I've been known to lose one periodly and I don't function as well without it.

Although there is some learning curve, it's not bad. Use it a while and you forget there was a learning curve. Also, any clock/timer with this many options will have some learning curve and each is unique. The quality of this clock/timer is excellent. The lab where I worked used this type.

The one complaint I have with this clock/timer is that when setting a timer or the clock, if you inadvertently go over the number you are setting, there is no "minus" button so you have to start over. That's particularly annoying when your target number is 53 and you go past it.

I absolutely LOVE this timer! So glad I went with the 4-channel Timer than the 2! With 2 kids, needing a timer for time-outs, food on the stove or in the oven, or just simple reminders, its great! So far I've had the need for 3 timers at once (so I may have the need for 4 while cooking holiday dinners and such!). Also, the clock feature is GREAT, very handy, now I don't have to turn around to see the clock, its in a nice convenient place, right on my fridge! The numbers are large, so I don't have to be really close to it to read it, and its SO simple to use! I LOVE that each timer "remembers" the last time that was put in it: push T1 (2, 3, or 4) and the start button to see how many minutes that timer had on it last. If you need to time something for that exact time again, just push start/stop button again, and it starts counting down! No need to enter that same time in again! I saw this dual timer at my father in law's house and LOVED it's simplicity and not huge size, but couldn't find it anywhere! He told me they were @ Radio Shack, but they no longer sold them. So when I read others reviews that said its the same one as Radio Shack used to carry I was sold! Thought it was a little pricey at first, but now, I'm not sorry at all, worth every penny so far!

I've used three or four of these for 15 years. Radio Shack, in its infinite wisdom discontinued it . This seems to be the newer version (63-899). Good large passive LCD display, (not illuminated). easy to switch from timer to timer to clock, Timers will either count up or count down. For 24 hour clock display, just hold down the start stop button extra long while the clock displays. Has a standup stand. Does not have a date function as far as I can tell. BUT, at $25, very pricey. Except for that I would recommend it based on my previous experience with its older Radio Shack cousins.

I use these timers at work in the lab (7 years). I love having 4 channels available. if you have common times you use all the time, it resets to the time you set so you can use the 4:00 count down again without resetting the value all the time. also clock feature is nice to keep track and toggle between while still using the timer

when timer 1 goes off, it beeps 1x. when T2 goes off, it beeps 2x, etc. helps greatly when you are timing multiple things. you can either press on the timer button or on clock to shut the beeping off, or after 1 minute of beeping it turns off automatically. If you switch to clock, the timer flashes that it's counting down (T2 blinks) but is not annoying. this is crash resistant (i drop mine all the time) and the one i have at work has a magnet and clip on the back. runs on a small, flat, round battery.

always wanted to steal one for work because they work so well, but now i can just buy one- a much better idea!!

Great timer and worth the money! I had two of the Radio Shack timers that are mentioned in other reviews. I was crushed when one of them broke, and I went in search of a replacement. This is an exact duplicate, aside from the fact that it has 4 timers.

1. This timer is simple to set.
2. For me, the alarms are plenty loud. They do get quieter as the battery life goes down.
3. Alarms can be set for up to 99 hours. If I have to make a conference call in a couple of days, I set an alarm as an extra reminder.
4.Each timer (1 to 4) has a corresponding number of beeps. For me, that is quite helpful.
5. You can get replacement batteries EXTREMELY cheap on Ebay. I just choose a top rated seller in the U.S. and get a sheet of them for just a few $.

I recommend this timer. It has 4 separate timers, different beeps for each timer, easy to set, times up to 99 hours, and cheap replacement batteries..
