This resource provides a superb review of the core knowledge in general and vascular ultrasound. Over 200 carefully selected case studies in a unique question-and-answer format help readers to assess their mastery of the subject. These cases are divided by complexity into Opening Round, Fair Game, and Challenge sections. Over 440 state-of-the-art illustrations (41 in full color) demonstrate a wide range of general and vascular ultrasound imaging findings. And, cross-references make it easy to locate additional information inside Mosby's acclaimed text, Ultrasound: THE REQUISITES, by Alfred B. Kurtz, MD and William D. Middleton, MD.

Editorial Reviews

Review

This book is one volume from the highly regarded Case Review Series covering several radiology subspecialties. The aim of the series is to educate the reader via core knowledge question-and-answer case studies.
Perhaps the most noticeable feature of this book is the outstanding quality of the ultrasound images, all of which appear to have been acquired using top of the range systems.
I can thoroughly recommend this book, not just for departments training junior radiologists, but for any department carrying out the full range of non-obstetric ultrasound imaging. As a test for its target audience, I asked the opinion of some of our specialist registrars, and all found it to be extremely useful and informative. It will be of equal value to consultant radiologists and to trainee sonographers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the Case Review series, January 20, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: General and Vascular Ultrasound: Case Review Series, 1e (Paperback)
This is definitely the best one out of the series. The pictures are excellent, often including labels to help the beginning resident get a grasp of viewing U/S anatomy. Each case is succintly presented with an excellent disccusion. The case selection is also fantastic, as it covers the important topics with the exclusion of OB/GYN (covered in it's own seperate series). All the info in this book is material residents should be expected to know.
