George Washington's Army (1 and 2), March 5, 2007
This review is from: General Washington's Army (1): 1775-78 (Men-at-Arms 273) (Paperback)
These books could have been much better. The artwork in the first one just didn't work and a different selection of uniform studies could have been found. The second one was a little more interesting but a better selection of uniform studies was needed. The information in the books is nevertheless good and I think that saves it from being rated lower.

A good look at early war uniforms, August 7, 2010
This review is from: General Washington's Army (1): 1775-78 (Men-at-Arms 273) (Paperback)
I am a Revolutionary War re-enactor of a Scottish regiment in Nova Scotia. This war, was also a war involving Canada. The information is supurb. The only part of this book that I ound off was the color plate. The art style was way off from the usual standard of Osprey books. When the companion book came out, the artist was changed. Copeland's art work is great for coloring books, but I felt that in his work, it was not what most Osprey fans are expecting.
