Whether you're among the proud elite who have earned the coveted "silver wings" of the Army Airborne or you're a serious history buff, General Lee is certainly on the top twenty of books I have read on modern warfare.

what a wonder picturesque review and accurate reflection of a marvelous leader and unsung hero. many pieces of history relative to the airborne and what transpired during the airborne drops in WWII are told in the coffee table masterpiece. The wonderful story of duty love and honor are played out with southern style and grace. I would love to see this on the big screen soon. Ft Bragg and Army Posts throughout would be honored. A great and wonderful story. thanks.

After reading the book, General Lee, Father of the Airborne, I was struck by the significance of the relationship between General Lee and his wife and the role she played in his career. The book is a wonderful collection of photographs coupled with the history of General Lee's contribution to the war and the Army. As a military wife, I have a great love for the Army and the Airborne as my husband served both with the 82nd and 101st. I think anyone interested in military history will want this book. It is chronicles a most significant period.
