This is the perfect primer for ultrasound use in the ICU by non-radiologists/cardiologists. It provides an unbiased, non-commercial view of the technology and what is important (and what is not!). Excellent illustrations and image captures complement an easy to read text. I call it a must have for Critical Care physicians who are interested in learning how ultrasound at the bedside improves patient management and safety.

Although i very much admire the work and pioneering spirit that Dr. Liechtenstein is conquering new frontires, i must admit that book is not that well, written.
Dont get me wrong: the topic is super-hot, very useful, but the book not exceptionaly clear or paedagogic. Maybe an USA-minded CO-author would help to present, the very important concepts presented in this book, more clearly. All in all, still very desired book, and I feel happy to have bought it! |
