4.0 out of 5 stars very minor flaws, overall a great product
PositivesThe armband is very thin, so my arm does not get hot while running. The entire armband is stretchy and soft and has the soft part of the velcro on it, with a little bit of the scratchy part of the velcro right on the tip so it is impossible not to get the right fit. I have petite arms and the arm band is small enough to fit on my upper forearm. I can also get it...

3.0 out of 5 stars It works ok
I bought this for my daughter who has a 1st generation iPod. The picture shows it to be black but the plastic holder turned out to be clear non-color. My daughter said her iPod barely fit but was able to get it in and is now using it. It seems a bit pricey for what it is but was sent promptly. Should be priced slightly lower to be a good deal.

4.0 out of 5 stars very minor flaws, overall a great product, August 10, 2008
This review is from: Tuneband for iPod Nano 1st and 2nd Generation, Grantwood Technology's Armband, Silicone Skin and Screen Protector, Compatible with Nike+iPod, Black (Electronics)
I can also get it around the largest part of my calf so I know it will fit larger arms as well. Since the armband and the ipod holder are two separate pieces, and because it is a silicone holder rather than a material one, I am confident that my ipod will not collect moisture. The click wheel is easy to use while in the holder, and the screen is clearly visible. The silicone seems like a nice protective case that if I wanted to I could remove the armband portion and use it as just a cover when I am not using it for running.NegativesI have a second generation nano and I have to push the ipod really hard into the silicone to get the proper fit. Even though it feels secure, and i am not afraid of it slipping out completely, the bottom of my ipod does tend to work it's way out of the silicone and I fear that this constant battle will eventually cause the silicone to tear. The sliding "hold" button on the top of my ipod is difficult to use while in the silicone. But I don't really need that while I am running anyway. When the ipod is properly inserted the silicone wraps around the edges of the bottom of the ipod, so when I plug in my headphones, the connection is pushing on the silicone, and probably expedites the ipod slipping out of the silicone. This however does not effect the connection of the headphones. This is for my sony headphones, this problem does not occur with the original ipod headphones. I do not have the Nike + running system so I can not review on how it fits with that. However when I plug in my USB charger I have to slide the silicone off from around the bottom of my ipod so i can connect it, and the ipod is no longer inserted properly into the silicone. If the nike + running system is as thick or thicker than the USB attachment then it will not properly be inserted into the silicone while in use, however like I said before, I do not fear that the ipod would slide out completely. It just ads to the wear and tear of the silicone.Overall it is a great product. Very affordable and from what I can tell on reviews and what I have seen of other products offered that are both compatible and not compatible with the nike + system, this is the best armband out there. When or if this one breaks I will buy this same product again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect fit!, May 15, 2008
This review is from: Tuneband for iPod Nano 1st and 2nd Generation, Grantwood Technology's Armband, Silicone Skin and Screen Protector, Compatible with Nike+iPod, Black (Electronics)
I've had several different cases for my iPod but this one is, by far, my most favored. The ports are easy to access, the iPod doesn't shift in the case and the arm band has a good amount of Velcro on it so it won't loosen up during a run. It also came with a pretty cool protective skin that can be affixed to the iPod to protect the screen and dial. I am more than satisfied with this product!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tuneband for Ipod by Grantwood Technology, May 1, 2008
This review is from: Tuneband for iPod Nano 1st and 2nd Generation, Grantwood Technology's Armband, Silicone Skin and Screen Protector, Compatible with Nike+iPod, Black (Electronics)
I ran a half marathon with it in Columbus,OH three weeks ago and it was great. The Tuneband is an elastic velcro strap that holds the silcone case (also by Grantwood Technology). What makes this a great product is that its lightweight, easy to adjust, and doesn't grab your skin or cut off your circulation like other heavier bands. Its also very easy to clean...mild soap and water does it. Very durable and highly recommend it to all you Nike+Ipod users. The silicone case for the nano is waterproof and lightweight, allowing easy access to the wheel so you can get spot readings while your on the run. Finally, the Tuneband and silicone case also compliments GT's shoe pouch for the Ipod receiver chip (NO need to buy the Nike shoes!). The waterproof neoprene case fits on your laces and stays snuggly in place. Highly recommend to anyone who runs every run with their Nike+Ipod set-up like I do! ~Michael

We ended up buying two of these, one for each of our daughters. They both LOVE them! One is an avid runner and one needed it for working around the home and using it at work. These are a very good product!

This fits 1st gen iPod nanos well. The nano case is well built and mine has lasted for six months (as long as I've had it) without any cracks or signs of wear. Likewise with the velcro strap. Good, simple product. No more, no less.

Could not find an arm band for early edition of Nano at local stores. It was needed by a runner for his first marathon. Found it at Amazon and works great. Shipping was right on time as advertised. Runner loves it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best case I've ever had for my ipod, November 12, 2011

My nano is ancient and I know it. But this is the best case I've ever had for it. The elasticized band and the silicone skin are much more flexible than any other material I've ever had for my ipod cases. This makes it easy to access the ipod/change songs etc and it doesn't feel as rigid sitting on your arm. Also, because the actual armband threads thru the case, you can move the case around much more easily on your arm. This was huge for me because I often workout with kettle bells when listening to my ipod and need to be able to adjust where the ipod sits on my arm. Also, I've had past cases get really "funky" from sweat etc over time. The beauty of this one is that the silicone case doesn't absorb sweat and the armband is easily detached for cleaning.

I always went running without an armband, and it was quite uncomfortable, and now that I finally bought it - I absolutely love it! The armband itself fits my arm well and is very comfortable. The silicone skin fits my 2nd gen ipod, and I can adjust the volume and change the tracks while I'm running, which is very comfortable, and not all armbands have this option. So far I have no problems with this product.
