Book Description

July 19, 1999
While the Baby Boomers are beginning to gray, a new generation known as X has emerged. Its leaders are stepping up to the plate to wield influence in significant positions of politics, business, education, the arts, and the church. Generation Xers Talk About the Church of the Nazarene invites you to a discussion of the insights, observations, and stimulating discussion of several authors who are members of both Generation X and the Church of the Nazarene. Consider:Who is Generation X and what are some of its distinctive characteristics? What societal shifts of the past generation have influenced the way Xers view their world? How do Xers relate to the past, the present, and the future? How do Xers view the heritage of the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition? How can the Church of the Nazarene best minister to members of this generation? What will the Church of the Nazarene look like as more Xers move into leadership roles? This book will bring added understanding of Generation X issues and insights to members of the Church of the Nazarene. It will also benefit pastors and church leaders who want to minister to this generation. In addition, Nazarene Xers will find stimulus for additional discussion from the pages of this book. Paper.
