iPod Nano 5th Generation 5G clear crystal hard case with 5th Gen screen protector, clear hard screen cover

I just bought a 5th gen nano, and wanted to get affordable yet durable protection for it. The clear case I ordered is perfect! I've already dropped it twice, and instead of scratching the actual ipod, the case came to the rescue! I would much rather replace a case than the ipod! This case also has a hole for the camera lens that does not interfere with your video taking abilities. I would definitely recommend this case if you want quality protection for your ipod without spending a fortune!

I just got a 5th-gen nano, and I wanted to protect it. This case is perfect -- the fit is exact, covering everything except the controls (and the video camera lens), and it is completely clear, not "frosted clear" like some other nano clear covers, so the nano color (mine's orange) shows through just as brightly as if there were no cover at all. It's also extremely slim and light, so those features of the nano are not lost.

This purchase includes:

1. The case itself, which covers everything but the top, bottom, wheel, and camera lens, and has an attachment for a lanyard if you want
2. A small microfiber cloth
3. A stick-on screen protector
4. Bag for your iPod, although the bag is way bigger than necessary

I would recommend cleaning both your iPod and the case very well before you put the case on, because once you get it on, it's VERY difficult to get off. Another problem was the screen protector. It would've been great as additional protection if the sticker on it actually peeled off nicely. Instead, it left a sticky residue that made the screen protector useless, unless you don't mind white pieces of sticker in front of your screen.

I noticed that a lot of people were failing at their attempt of getting this off. I recently got one and loved it!! When I first put it on though I noticed that the screen of my iPod was smudged. I thought I would just take it off and clean the screen but I COULD NOT GET IT OFF! I finally figured it out. Take a normal paperclip. Jam it in between the two halves where the hold button is. You're going to want to do it on the left of the hold button. Then continue down the side of the iPod along the line with the paperclip. THIS WILL NOT SCRATCH YOUR IPOD! This should pop the first one open and it is easy to work from there. Good luck!!

Essentially this case boils down to a few pros and a single minuscule con.
Pros

1.Protection
It covers the device, keeps the scratches off it, and still leaves essential controls open. What you can't tell is that the screen is actually covered by the plastic which is great.

2.Looks
I got the clear and it looks great. Keeps the color safe and shows it off.

3.Functionality
It's tough to get off but there isn't a need to do so because the scroll-wheel is left open, hold switch is open, the camera isn't blocked by plastic and the docking port is open.

Con

1.Screen cover
It comes with a film screen protector. Great, but it sucks. Not that big of a deal though because there is plastic from the case on the screen.


So if you are looking for a case for your new iPod nano look no further than this. The product is cheap, excellent and the shipper is also great.

PLEASE ignore any review for this product that is less than 4 stars. I paid $9.90 for this case with shipping. It arrived on the promised day and I was thrilled with it. First let me say don't worry about peeling and sticking on the included screen saver because the hard cases covers the screen, second only an idiot (you know who you are) would have trouble removing the case if needed. I removed it in 5 seconds to clean out a bit of dust that I had not cleaned off before putting the case on my ipod and the next day I repeated the process, again in 5 seconds, to show a co-worker how simple it was. Yes, you will need to use something more than your fingernail, try a butter knife to the bottem edge and work your way up the side EASY! The included bag is great for storing your ipod and headphones together, your charger will even fit in there too I suppose though I haven't tried. THANKS for a great product and a SUPER price.

This case arrived quickly. However, the case arrived scratched (considerably). It has been about a month since I bought this product and I am already replacing it. It is very damaged from normal wear and tear, it has not done a good job of protecting my Ipod. It is very difficult to use Ipod accessories with this case in place. It has a lip at the bottom that interferes with accessory use. That lip also makes it difficult to use head phones that have a large jack. I am very pleased with the screen cover this came with, it has stayed in place well and was very easy to apply. I am disappointed in the damage my Ipod has received while using this case (the plastic has pulled away near where the charger plugs in, I believe this is because the accessories do not attach well during use and they move around against that plastic). I do not use the pouch that came with this case, but it seems to be fine.

Personally I think this is a great case, it fits like a glove, but just make sure the inside is good and clean before snapping your ipod in. It comes with a microfiber cloth to do the pre-clean and a screen protector (if placed very carefully) fits perfect without bubbles. I have only been using it a couple days...but so far so good.

It also includes a little felt/poly drawstring bag..a little over sized (I can put my DS lite in it, very snugly) but I guess its so you could stuff your headphones in along with the ipod.

Oh, and it seems to be pretty hard to take off the cover once its snapped on, so if you plan on taking it out all the time, it's not for you. Overall I have no complaints...especially for the price!

This case fits the new nano perfectly, it is slightly difficult to remove once it is put on so if you want something removable I would chose a different product. The case has a hole for the hold switch which I found made it slightly awkward to get to at first but got used to it in a couple of days. The case doesn't get scratched very easily and is very tough. The product arrived very promptly from the company.

The case itself is really great, and I am very happy with my purchase. There were only two small problems, however. First, the extra screen protector had a few issues. The glue residue stayed on the protector after removing the tabs. Second, the case is hard to get apart once fixed, so just make sure everything is right on when you clasp it together. Overall, I am very very satisfied with the purchase. You can't beat the case for the price you pay!
