Look, no where on the bag does it say HEPA. I have used these bags and for the price they are great. As one reviewer states "It's good to have inexpensive cloth instead of the paper" AMEN. I just finished using my almost new Hoover Tempo Widepath U5140-900 (on sale $59 excellent value)to clean the fine remaining ash in my fireplace, my previous bag would have allowed...

vacuum bag not hepa, but better than paper
These bags as stated in above review are NOT HEPA! (1.0mc vs. 0.3mc HEPA) They are nice thick cloth similar to Hoover 3-M Filtrete HEPA type Y. The shipment comes with a good number of them, too. The bags are slightly smaller (2-3 inches) than Hoover 3-M. They do NOT have the nice rubber and carboard collar the 3-M bags have either, instead, they are reinforced paper...

These bags as stated in above review are NOT HEPA! (1.0mc vs. 0.3mc HEPA) They are nice thick cloth similar to Hoover 3-M Filtrete HEPA type Y. The shipment comes with a good number of them, too. The bags are slightly smaller (2-3 inches) than Hoover 3-M. They do NOT have the nice rubber and carboard collar the 3-M bags have either, instead, they are reinforced paper and cardboard. It's good to have inexpensive cloth instead of the paper (knew the price was too good to be true!) but I really thought i was getting a hepa bag. Now I will have to order the proper hepa bags as this allergy season is in full swing and I am not prepared with hepa bags for my vacuum. Going to look into HEGA filters anyway.;)

Description of product and on the bag both confirm that it filters down to only 1 micron. HEPA is .3 microns.

Although these are not a HEPA vacuum cleaner bags, they are however made out of cloth, and they do filter allergens pretty good. They fit my Hoover pretty good, in that they are a little bigger, but I fold their bottom and they work perfectly. For the cost, these 3 bags are a good bargain. Would recommend to anyone using paper bags who doesn't care about HEPA.
