Pros:
1) DOES work in the car - despite description that says "Does not work in the car"
2) Easy to set-up
3) Offset USB connector - allows it to fit in a double USB cigarette lighter adapter

Cons:
1) Short Audio cable (not a problem for me but it could be longer)
2) poor quality audio cable (again - not a problem but for the price it was acceptable)

Basically, I plugged the adapter into my USB car charger, and into my AUX jack, scanned for it with my phone. Pairing was simple and it reconnects every time I start my car. This is MUCH better than having to plug my audio cable into my phone every time I wanted to listen to music in the car.

It works amazingly! The reason why I bought it was because I wanted to plug it into my car and play music wireless and it sure works great! All you do is plug it into your system with the USB and plug the AUX Chord into the AUX Input. Then I scan for it from my phone and there you go! It is sold for what its worth too! Don't spend any more on the same thing! $8 is totally worth it.

It makes a slight buzzing sound. But if it pairs with a noise reducer it could be perfect.
I suppose if your receiver has a 5v and an auxiliary then it will have the same but anything else may be okay

The listing says it's bluetooth 4.0, yet the package it came in says 2.0+EDR. I'm not too upset about that though, it works as well as I need it to in my car. I don't know how to verify what version of bluetooth is being used anyway.
The other issue is build quality. I plugged it in, got some feedback, so I unplugged it to put a better 3.5mm cord on it and the internals almost broke free from the casing. It stayed well enough intact to remain completely functional, but it's a little irritating.

All in all, a sub-10 dollar solution for me.

I have this hooked up in my car to a usb cigarette lighter and a cassette aux input. works nice! bluetooth from the phone now playing over the speakers with the stock sound system.

don't try to run a usb cable from the lighter to the bluetooth receiver tho- doesn't give enough power. I tried running a 12 inch usb cable so I could keep the receiver hidden, but it didn't work. I had to plug it directly into the usb carger. just a heads up!

What can I say? No complaints! Plug it into USB power, plug in a 3.5mm cord, pair your device. The sound quality is very good, with no distortion and good volume. Pairing is quick and works the first time, every time with our iPhone 5's. Seriously, unless you need more than simple A2DP audio streaming, don't bother spending what can be over $40 on something that may actually not work as well.

This little thing is inexpensive and works great. I haven't taken any device too far from it, but it definitely works more than 10 feet away. Please note that it doesn't come with its own power supply. You need a USB based power supply for it to work.

I'll start off by saying, that I don't have high expectations whenever I order a product that's cheap and delivered from China, but I expect them to try a little bit. I ordered 2 of these for $5.40 a piece. Here are the issues I've come across in the first few hours since receiving the Bluetooth receivers.
1. Hopefully you can see in the attached picture, both devices have an issue where the circuit board containing the USB contacts doesn't sit correctly within the USB plug. This can make it hard to plug in, but with a little coaxing, I was able to get both devices to plug into a USB power source. The device on the left was worse, but was plugged in overnight and appears to have corrected itself.
2. Unfortunately, the device on the left was DOA when I received it. It does power up and I do see the device on my tablet and phone, but it only shows the MAC address for the device and not the PT-810 name like the other one shows. I am unable to connect to the device that shows the MAC address but I was able to successfully connect to the PT-810 device and stream audio.
3. I tried it out in my truck on the way to work, it worked fine, but like others have said in other reviews, this device seems to block any bass frequencies so the sound quality over the speakers seems to be a little tinny and weak.
4. I don't really fault the device on this one, but I do get some ground loop feedback while it's plugged into a USB power source in my truck. However, almost everything does this when powered by a 12v plug. Even my android phone, which is not a cheaply made item.

Overall, I expected a little more from something so braindead simple as a bluetooth audio receiver.
