Generic Dirt Devil F1 HEPA Filter

I placed this on a my Dirt Devil Featherlite, which specifies OEM replacement filter #2-JC0280-000. Compared to the original filter, this one did not have a tight seal to the vacuum cleaner - it literally flopped about. Without a tight seal, some of the air passes under the filter rather than thru it. I lined the bottom of the filter with duct tape, and managed to get a tighter seal. With the filter alteration, the vacuum cleaner seems to perform well now, or at least somewhat better than it did with the 11-month old original OEM filter.

I have not tried to wash this filter, so I've no comment to make concerning how it holds up to washing.

I am satisfied with the generic dirt Devil F1 filter. My only complaint is that the filter didn't seat well in the dirt collection container. In order to make it filter the air being pulled into vacuum i added several wraps of painters tape inside the dirt container where the filter connects. For the price i think its well worth it to have to modify the vac, and it was pretty easy to put some tape around the filter fitting...

Works really good. Does not have instruction on how to wash, but website does. Will purchase again BUT from maker. They offer free shipping and could save you money.

Durable and washable. Used for almost a year and it still works fine. Suck once a week.

The vacuum recommends replacing these filters once every six months; this has been my first replacement in about six years.

I noticed the vacuum was not working as well (i.e. leaving things on the floor), so I purchased this filter. Immediately after seamless installation, I re-vacuumed and picked up a plethora of junk that was not noticeable to the naked eye.

I had tried the filters in the store that were suppose to fit my vacuum, but they didn't work. This one did! PERFECT FIT!

Glad I found this on Amazon. I had been buying at Wal-mart for $20 and they weren't washable. Product works great and was shipped and delivered VERY quickly. Highly recommend.

Part fit exactly as sold and worked right from the start. Not sure about the washable part yet, but I'll take their word for that as well. Quick shipping but lack of packaging. I suppose they had to save money somewhere and who cares if it doesn't have a shiny plastic package.

I didn't have high hopes when I ordered this 'generic filter' but after having used it for a few weeks I can't believe how good it is! It costs half the price of a 'Dirt Devil' brand filter and works just as good, if not better. I really can't tell the difference between them and this one is washable too. Love it and definately would recomend it if you need the DD F1 filters.
