Eventually the rubber seal on the top of these filters wears out, and when that happens, the performance of your vacuum drops off. Finding a new genuine Eureka filter is difficult, so I was glad to see these on Amazon.

This filter is fine, as a filter, but it is not an exact match for the DCF-3. It's a little too tall, and the inner diameter is a little too small. It is difficult to get the lid on over this filter, and once you've jammed the filter on far enough to get the lid on, it is very hard to take the filter off again to clean it.

So I'd have to recommend going with the genuine Eureka, not this generic "Eureka" (it is NOT actually a Eureka part - and the product tag is misleading) - if you can find it.

I have used the generic version most of the time because that all that I can seem to find. Everyone in a while I can find an original (it's black, not yellow like the generic). The yellow generic one just doesn't fit right and causes my vacuum not to fit back together properly and decreases it suction power. I want the old original ones back!

This advertised as generic (which it is), rather than "genuine Eureka" (which it isn't). So kudos for truth in advertising. And, for my machine, it fit just like the OEM. Definitely worth the savings from OEM.

This filter fits the Eureka vacuum I bought it for. It is a tight fit at first, but it fits. It works just as good as the filter the vacuum came with.

Although this is the generic filter for the Eureka and the fit is a bit tight, the product still works and it was about $7 cheaper than at the retail store!

This product is advertised as a "HEPA" filter on Amazon. And the product picture on Amazon also shows a filter labeled as "HEPA." But the filter MoreQualityLessMoney (vendor) sent me does NOT indicate that it is "HEPA" anywhere. So I must conclude that the vendor didn't send me a "HEPA" filter, but a cheaper filter that is NOT as good at filtering dust and fine particles as a HEPA filter. I'm returning this filter.

I am not sure about other models but this filter fit my Eureka Whirlwind Litespeed (5843AZ) exactly. The fit & price is fantastic as I saw other websites sell the same item (or comparable) for much higher. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has the same model as I do.

The filter is a perfect fit for my Eureka 5856 Type BVZ vacuum. For a generic that costs less than a half of an in-store price and was sent with free shipping, this is a perfect deal. The filter was sent by B & M Housewares and arrived on time. The only strange thing was packaging: the filter was sent in a shipping envelope without any box or blister pack or any other type of protective packaging, but it arrived on time and in perfect condition, without any damage.

The item was received in two days and was just as advertised. My concern that it was a generic was unfounded because the product fit perfectly. I continue to be amazed at amazon's ability to find products and ship them as quickly as they can.

Seems to work as well as the original in pulling out the dust and dirt. Minor complaint-you better have Schwartzenegger's muscles to push it all the way on and then be able to remove it.
