These bags fit my Oreck XL fine. However, they do not move air as efficiently as the Oreck bags. The reduced suction was immediately noticeable (the vacuum was much easier to push) with these bags. I assume part of it is the allergy filter technology. As a result I found that they need changing a little more frequently because the suction drops. I estimate they have about 2/3 the life of the Oreck bags I had before.

Also, these bags do not have the "Germstat" protection that inhibits mold and germs so if you vacuum certain things, like pet hair or pet litter or get any moisture into the bags they will start to have a bit of a funky smell after a while, whereas the Oreck bags produce much lower odor by comparison.

These bags are also made in China, which the manufacturer tries to obfuscate by printing "Made in P.R.O.C." on the packaging (PROC = People's Republic of China). They should just be honest and say "Made in China" for crying out loud.

Obviously the price for these bags is very good and so you can afford to change them twice as often and still come out ahead.

So, I rated them "OK" since they work well enough. I may go back to the Oreck bags next time, I'm still thinking about it.

I have always gone to the Oreck site to purchase my vacuum bags but when I went this time, the prices were ridiculous. So I started searching for another place to purchase similar. I found these generic bags and was a bit nervous but I am so happy with them. Not only do they fit perfect, they are priced right. Thank you so much...!!!

This "generic" Oreck vacuum cleaner bag is as good, if not better, than the original. Due to the economy, the price of these bags are wonderful. I will definitely buy again.
