This filter is competent, with over 99% filtration, but, technically, the package does not say "HEPA" (only "allergen") so the filter should not be advertised as "HEPA" by amazon.

This aftermarket filter fits my Hoover perfectly. I hadn't changed the filter in a couple of years, so it was overdue! Now the exhaust air smells nice and clean.
