Works as Advertised...... So Far,
By
This review is from: Wireless Sender (Electronics)
I have been pleased with the unit so far. Sends the D-TV signal roughly 75ft across the house with good picture and sound quality. I read the reviews about these units not working after a few weeks, but mine has been working almost every day since Christmas 2008. I turn transmitter and receiver off after every use. Good Luck!

Rf Link RVS-5811,
This review is from: Wireless Sender (Electronics)
I purchased the RF AVS-5811 for one purpose which was to have the ability to play a CD on my Home Theater and 'stream' the audio to a separate receiver located some 30 feet away. I don't like broadcast radio mostly because I don't want someone else picking which music to listen to. Also, I grew tired of hearing the same car dealership ads which are repeated at several times an hour. So, I wanted to create my own Audio CD or either .wav or .mp3 songs which I play on my DVD playere and stream the music over both receivers and 12 speakers. The RF Link AVS-5811 does this perfectly. I use the device a great deal on weekends and only on a rare occasion do I experience any interference or popping/crackling sounds. I wanted a device which operated on the 5.8 Ghz band so not to interfer with my wireless router or cordless phone.
I have not used the video portion of the device so I can't rate the products ability to stream video. The audio works beautifully and I am very glad I purchased it.

Wireless Video Transmitter/Receiver a Great Buy,

I purchase this 5.8 Ghz Wireless Audio/Video Sender Transmitter to use in my workshop in my garage. From transmitter to receiver is approximately 50 feet through two walls and a bank of loaded metal shelving units. After playing with the aiming of the antennae I got it up an running with a clear picture and audio. I did get just a hint of interference when I stepped between the two antennae but remedied it by placing the receiver higher. I've even hooked it up to my Wii for watching Netflix movies and the IR extender allows me to used the basic Wii remote functions to control the movie.
I intend to purchase another one to use with an outside TV in the patio entertaining area for those special occasion like the Super Bowls or March Madness parties.

Yee-haw!,
This review is from: Wireless Sender (Electronics)
I bought this 5.8 GHz wireless transmitter/receiver primarily because I work at a TV station, and one our yearly duties involves shooting video to be displayed on the jumbo screen at the local Rodeo. It's kind of fun, except for one ugly detail. Our camera is a few hundred feet away from the video inputs for that huge screen. So far, that has always meant that we have to stretch out a HUGE video cable and tape it down so nobody trips on it. We have to tape it to concrete, which, I'm sure you can imagine accepts sticky tape quite well (sarcasm). Couple that with people spilling stuff on it for four nights of rodeo, and the tangled mess it becomes when we try to roll it back up on the last night, all while trying to rip off four-day-old duck tape and trying not to get people's spilled sodas and who-knows-what-else on us. Very pleasant, really (obvious sarcasm).
On our first attempt using this transmitter, we were able to get a decent signal for that big screen. The distance didn't seem to bother it at all. I had also tested it in my house and at work, beaming the signal through five offices at one point and getting a clean signal. The only minor issue we had at the rodeo, was a shifting color flicker, which I attributed to the massive amounts of steel and steel reinforced concrete, which I'm sure was making the signal reflect all over the place and, I presume, was causing the distortion, but nobody seemed to mind. We also found that if you put your hand directly on one of the antenna paddles, blocking it's line-of-sight, it can cause interference, so we made sure to put it out of the way where people wouldn't stand in front of it (but that wasn't really an issue at all). A minor color distortion, and the fact that the adjacent channels step on each other made me give this only four stars, but I'm very happy with what this product is and what it does, especially for the price. I also played with the "remote extender" feature, which I thought was dumb until I tried it out. Imagine beaming a signal from one DVD player to different TVs in your house, and being able to pause, fast forward, or whatever you want to do FROM THAT OTHER ROOM. It's brilliant! Generally speaking, especially over short distances without tons of metal all about, this delivers good video and sound quality. What else is there to say?

5.8GHZ Audio Video Sender and Receiver,
By
This review is from: Wireless Sender (Electronics)
I am pleased to endorse, without any reservation, this 5.8 GHZ wireless Audio Video Sender and Receiver. The problem I was attempting to solve was to get satellite programming from my primary TV to a secondary TV located on the same floor of the house. The secondary TV`s sole source of signal was from an indoor digital antenna which was only able to draw an effective, viewable signal roughly half of the time. This unit solved my problem completely with a setup of only 5-10 minutes. Then, like magic, I was viewing satellite programming on my secondary TV with excellent picture quality and sound. The remote control unit worked without any hitches. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend!

Where do I begin....,
By
This review is from: Wireless Sender (Electronics)
The only good thing I can say about this purchase is that it shipped promptly. Other than that, the unit is complete garbage. The build quality is horrible and looks like it was put together by a 5 year old. I did not expect that coming from a product with a hefty price tag. Lets see.. what else? Ahh my favorite.. Video/Audio quality. If you like watching TV that looks like you are still in the 1950's.. get this. Video kept cutting in and out with lots of static. Audio was just as bad with lots of distortion and pops. Not to mention the transmitter and receiver were roughly 15 feet apart. Legit. Save yourself a headache and money.

I was a little concerned about this item transmitting through an old house, but it works as advertised, with good remote relay as well. The transmitter and receiver are about 50 feet apart, seperated by two walls and one floor in an older house.

Stopped working after two months!,

As the title says, it stopped working after two months. I'm surprised there are so many positive reviews for this item since it's so cheaply made. After only using it for about 30 minutes a day, it just up and stopped in the middle of use. I tried every channel, every possible combination - and nothing. I've never had an electronic item just quit in the middle of use without any physical contact. When it did work, the picture still had some static and a continual pop in the sound. The sender and receiver were only about 14 ft apart with a clear line of sight. My advice is to stay far, far away from this cheaply made product!
