My wife and I were looking for the right bow to get started with. Being inundated with the choices between compound, recurve and longbow, as well as all the options and add ons, we were afraid we would never know what to do without spending a lot of time at an archery range. Finally we discovered the Genesis, and as it states, this bow fit both of us perfectly.

This bow accomodates both my wife's 25-1/2" draw length and my larger 29-3/4" draw length. With a minor $200 investment we were both able to get started with a bow we owned that accomodated us both giving us the time needed to see if the sport was something we wanted to further invest in.

Out of the box this product is ready to use with no adjustment needed as with other bows. You also don't need to worry about what your draw length is. We can both use it and simply hand it off during practice. Lastly, any of our friends and children in our family can join in on the fun.

Thanks to the Genesis we will be investing in bows made specifically for us, but we will have the Genesis handy to introduce friends and family to the fun of archery. I would highly recommend purchasing a complete kit that includes arrows and an arm guard if at all possible. It ensures you'll have everything you need at once to get started.

Comes pre-nocked with arrow rest. It even has standard mounts for sights and other accessories. It is ready for the archery range out of the box. The draw weight is strong enough to go 20 yards with aluminum arrows. However, I would not push it out beyond that distance, especially with heavier carbon fiber arrows.

The only drawback is that I wish it had a little more draw weight. Maybe 25 to 30 LBS so that it can go a little further. Overall it is an excellent bow for the beginner.

This bow might tire the children, but I remember when I was 6 or 8 years old, with a skinny frame and had a 35# Bear Archery bow. I would get worn out keeping it at full draw, but I still had a lot of fun. Looking back, I would have loved to have this bow in its place.

I don't think I truly needed to pay extra for the kit, when I can just buy the bow itself, and pick up some youth arrows at a shop.

It's a great bow to get other people into the sport with. After they held and drew the bow, my little brother and Dad have been bugging me to get some arrows already so we can go shooting.

This was the kids big christmas present. The line popped off the assembly within three days and barely any use, and now needs repair. Bad purchase.

This bow is for anyone in the nasp(national archery in schools program) or any one learning to shoot. my son loves it and at the price you cant go wrong. bought this and the Plano Protector Compact Bow Case (Black)Item model number: 1110-00, both products came in quickly which surprised me considering i live out in hawaii. My son is fairly new to archery and has only been out to the range 3 times and placed 4th in competition out of 120, which shows how easy it is even for beginners to the sport. love the variety of colors but wish the prices were the same, but overall a good buy, especially since bows out here in hawaii go for 200+
