I bought this drill press at a local Mills Fleet Farm because it was inexpensive and I just didn't have a drill press. I got mine for $80, a steal in my opinion. There's a saying out there that the difference between a good drill press and a cheap drill press is still a lot smaller than the difference between a cheap drill press and no drill press. And it's absolutely true. So based on that, this drill press has a lot of value for it's money. What I really like about this press is the tilting table. You can build a DYI drill press table to extend the dimensions, but to get an angle using a jig is not so easy. This drill press table's tilt feature can come in handy if you need angled holes.
What I don't like about it however is the lack of depth and height. It's an 8 inch press though, and it's advertised that way for a reason. Don't expect to drill into end grain of wood often on this thing. If you are looking for an entry drill press and need to drill into longer pieces, look elsewhere. I can live with it for now and will eventually have a floor mount anyway :)
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap drill press ($80, not what is currently advertised).
