Deeper Understanding,

This review is from: Genesis: The Kabbalistic Bible, Volume One (English and Hebrew Edition) (Hardcover)
As a student of the Kabbalah Centre, I found the Kabbalistic Bible series to be very fulfilling and thought-provoking. It's a beautifully designed book. With this edition, in addition to Yehuda Berg's commentary on each Torah portion, it contains quote after quote from the Zohar, the writings of the Ari, and other Kabbalists in the footnotes linking the wisdom of Kabbalah to the Biblical text. I was also pleased to see each section begins with a "From the Rav" lesson.
I also find it interesting that the negative review by Freethinker is the same review reposted over and over again for each Kabbalah Centre book. I just wonder, "Freethinker, what do you have against the Kabbalah Centre?" But, back on topic, I would definitely recommend this to a Kabbalah student who has already read a few books and wants a greater understanding of how Kabbalah connects with the Bible.

This review is from: Genesis: The Kabbalistic Bible, Volume One (English and Hebrew Edition) (Hardcover)
A beautiful, thoughtful, and thought provoking kabbalistic interpretation of the Torah in this landmark series. This book contains a beautifully printed Hebrew text with a new English translation, on opposite pages from each other. Also, each weekly parasha contains a kabbalistic explanation of the weekly energy, a synopsis, an explanation by Rav PHillip Berg, as well as specific references from the Zohar, and quote from famous kabbalists over time, including Rabbi Isaac Luria, explaining the true, deeper meaning of the story. A must have for any student of spirituality. This is a beautifully printed and thought out book.

This review is from: Genesis: The Kabbalistic Bible, Volume One (English and Hebrew Edition) (Hardcover)
This book is one of five - one for each of the Torah's five books, but it is the Kabbalistic version - meaning that there a Hebrew/Aramaic section, the English transliteration, and then there is Kabbalistic commentary. The book is finely arranged, separated into Torah portions, and set up so that it is easy to use with the English transliteration across from the Hebrew/Aramaic and the commentary on the bottom of the pages to which it corresponds. It is a must-have for anyone studying Kabbalah.
