In "Genesis One" Melvin Elliott has offered the most cogent treatise on dispensationalism that I have ever encountered. His insights on the multi-faceted structural patterns in scripture are so clear that it seems a real wonder (and a real shame) that these truths are not more widely known. Elliott's research flows directly from scripture. The reader is left with the realization that dispensationalism is not a theological filter chosen by Elliott, but the very organizational outline of scripture itself.

[Later edit: There is much confusion and debate regarding Dispensationalism and Covenant Theology. Elliott's position rises above the typically thick theological argumentation that revolves around who wrote what and focuses instead on scripture patterns. It's a breath of fresh air.]

To truly understand the remarkable link between our origin and our destiny, it helps to learn about starlight from Gorman Gray in The Age of the Universe: What Are the Biblical Limits?. The relationship between genetics and prophecy is also vital, for which I advise Pandemonium's Engine: How the End of the Church Age, the Rise of Transhumanism, and the Coming of the bermensch Overman Herald Satans Imminent and Final Assault on the Creation of God by Thomas Horn, (Editor). But Melvin Elliott's work has just become my sine qua non for understanding Genesis and all that is built upon it. A real masterpiece - deserving more stars than Amazon offers.

When I purchased the book I was not sure what to expect, having had so much teaching on dispensationalism over the 40+ years that I have studied the scriptures.
Melvin's work here is as the other reviewer said well documented from the bible as well as science.

I have offered it to others to read and those that have also felt that it was a good work. Those who have a problem with the thesis is because they refuse to let go of a religious viewpoint that they have held onto for years.

God created the universe and knows all about science and mathematics. It is just amazing that He chose to "show it off" in the very first chapter of the Bible! I am not quite sure just how theologians and scientists have missed this over the centuries, but nevertheless...HERE IT IS FOR ALL WHO CARE TO SEE!
