Besides this book being fascinating, I mean I felt the stories of people and their personal dramas spellbinding. But this book is different than anything else I have ever read. I have read 100's of books and when they are finished they are finished. But the Genesis Prayer lives on. I tried using the prayer a few times to catch a cab in the pouring rain during off duty periods. The first time it worked I thought hmmm a coincidence; the second time ---interesting, BUT the 3rd time I thought hey, maybe there is some truth to what Meiliken is offering. To be able to get a cab easily when it usually takes a half an hour or more in these conditions is nothing short of a miracle.
But one day I really put it to the test. One evening I felt a large lump on my breast. I was really scared. I am a young mother and feared the worst that I wouldn't be around to raise my children. I barely slept that night. The next day I called my OBGYN and she told me to come in the next day. She scheduled me for a mammogram and sonogram a week later.
In the mammogram session the doctor told me that she did see something that looked abnormal and needed to do more x-rays at different angles. The lab. tech then did a few more x-rays, which the doctor then analyzed. She then came back and said that they needed more x-rays to really focus in on the parts that seemed to be at risk. I was petrified and shaking as I sat in the waiting room clasping my husband's hand, waiting for more x-rays. Just then my husband reminded me about this book I had been raving about. He said why not try it. You sure could use a miracle, honey. I started to do the 42 word prayer over and over again, meditating on the line that Meiliken says is for healing. I must have said the prayer a dozen times during the next set of x-rays. The doctor then came to me and said that she looked at the last set of x-rays and gave me a clean bill of health. A big sigh of relief! This prayer may have saved my life.
Now I do this prayer every day and I see amazing things happen right before my eyes. I think that every one should get this book. It only takes a few minutes. It's easy and it brings miracles- big and small every time.

What do you have to lose?

5.0 out of 5 stars I got a true miracle because of this book, November 2, 2005
This book amazed me. Believe it or not this prayer actually works. I was truly shocked. I bought the Genesis Prayer just before visiting family in Toronto, Canada. My cousin's wedding was great, but it was now Sunday and I had to be back in Chicago to take care of my three young children by Monday morning. My husband always helps out and somehow managed with the three of them on his own for the weekend, but he had to be at work first thing Monday morning and we couldn't afford for him to take off time from work. I had to get the children to school. It was imperative that I be back on time.

When I arrived at the Air Canada ticket counter in the Toronto airport, the check-in clerk asked to see my ID. I showed her my permanent residency card and she shook her head and asked for my passport. When I told her that I never use my passport to travel from US to Canada and that I only use the residency card, she cringed and replied, "They've changed the rules. You can try, but I doubt they'll let you through customs." Panic set in. As I rushed to the customs area I saw that there were signs everywhere saying PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE ENTERING THE UNITED STATES

What was I going to do? I knew that reasoning with US customs officials was futile. RULES ARE RULES. And things were worse now with Homeland security, much worse. I also knew it would take at least 2 days to get my passport by Fed Ex. I couldn't breathe. My kids' faces kept flashing in my head. Then I remembered the book I just finished reading and all those miracles people had. I reached into my bag and quietly recited the Genesis Prayer while waiting in line-all 42 words-all the while thinking how much I wanted to be home with my family. I begged for the prayer to work for me too.

It happened so fast I couldn't believe it. Not a minute after I finished the prayer the customs officer asked me to step forward. He looked at my documents without saying a word and stamped the departure card, sending me on my way. He didn't even gesture about a passport, nothing. I was in shock, grateful, but totally surprised. I rushed to the gate before he could change his mind.

What happened? It could only have been due to this amazing prayer and book. It really works. To Mr. Meiliken, my family thanks you so much. Everyone who needs a miracle any time in his or her life should use this prayer. It worked for me. That is why I wanted to tell people about it

5.0 out of 5 stars a Very good book, November 5, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Genesis Prayer: The Ancient Secret That Can Grant You Miracles (Paperback)
What makes me interested in purchasing this book is the fact that the book is authored by a mathematician. I'm a physicist therefore, at first, I am very much interested in the mathemathical aspects of the book rather than the so-called miracle claimed in the book's title. The author has done terrific job in deciphering the codes. This book gave me a new perspective for the bible and wisdoms contained within it . As for the miracles, I was extremely skeptical at first, but soon after, when I give it a try, I found myself even more amazed by many "lucky coincidences" that happened in my life. In other word, IT WORKS! A word of advice, from my experience, miracles don't happen instantaneously and I found out I realized it later because often times it took a completely different form of miracles from what I had I expected. But don't take my word for it. Try it yourself. Overall, this is a very nice book. Well done, Jeff.

4.0 out of 5 stars Here's how to pronounce it..., January 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just picked this up and am enjoying reading it and look forward to knowing much more about the prayer and its many (endless?) aspects, altho it's not so easy to figure out how to actually use the prayer from what I've so far read or found by rummaging; many, many variations are suggested but not necessarily spelled out by the text, which is good, but a little confusing up front. And as many others have noted, there's no phonetic description in the entire book of how to say or hear the words of the full prayer, for non-speakers. So I looked around a bit online and found a lot of versions of it sung, mostly on YouTube, which are lovey to listen to. But then I found a great online lesson for simply pronouncing the words, here:
[...]

If Amazon doesn't let that URL get through, try going to yeshshem dot com and looking for the kabbalah class teachings, and getting the class notes and recordings. Excellent stuff, and a great accompaniment to the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an AMAZING book, April 21, 2010
Being a very religious person, I was attracted to the title of this book which I found in a little bookstore. Once I picked it up and read the cover, I was a little skeptical at first and actually walked out of the bookstore without buying it. But something tugged at me to return and buy it. I am very glad I did. The Genesis prayer focuses on the beauty of the purity and intricacies of the Bible and shows that there is a hidden mathematical system throughout the entire first five books (Torah) of the Old Testament that is designed as a blueprint to guide and protect us through life.

Although I bought this book for the focus of prayer based around my Christian beliefs, I was completed amazed by the mathematical "coincidences" that continually repeat throughout the first five books of the Bible. The accuracies are so amazing especially considering the calculations couldn't have been made by modern man thousands of years ago. If you are a fan of math, the calculations within this book will be of great interest. When the Bible is broken down and looked at mathematically, no one could deny that we are led by the Father.

But beyond the mathematics presented within the Genesis Prayer is something much deeper; a prayer to help guide us to the correct choices in life. I've already seen the blessings that can be granted by reciting the Genesis prayer within the first few days of beginning to read it. This book and this prayer are simply amazing. God left us with a blueprint to keep us on track and give us the keys to happiness. And its been right there in front of us all this time.

Whether you are a believe or a non-believer in God, this book will change your life, open your eyes to God and bless your life beyond belief! I will continue to use the Genesis Prayer daily for the rest of my life.

This review is from: The Genesis Prayer: The Ancient Secret That Can Grant You Miracles (Paperback)
This is another tool to help create and/or strengthen our connection to the "source"...and given the age and origins, it proves (again) that our quest for that connection, for help and intercession, has been a yearning for millennia. Overall, I like the book in that it gives you some interesting historical background and context for this particular prayer (without having to go to a Kabbalah center). I think the explanations of the levels and and meanings to the lines are good and again, helpful to absorb the bigger picture of what this is. I also appreciate the author's efforts and enthusiasm for getting this 'out there' and spreading the word. However....this is just largely a marketing ploy to give a new name ("The Genesis Prayer") for what many already know simply as "Ana b'Koach". As for the anecdotal stories...while I understand why they were included, they didn't add anything to the experience (for me at least) or make the power of the prayer more 'believable'. In fact, I think they slightly detract from the overall goal - which is why I say take what you need, leave the rest behind. If you head the author's recommendations for the meditations, for focusing your thoughts, amplifying your feelings outward to everyone you know...that is powerful stuff.

I think it would've benefited greatly (as many have expressed frustration) to include a pronunciation guide - given the author makes it a point that the Aramaic pronunciation is key, it's as if he gives you half the key to the car. So the logic there fails me and I believe it's a huge missed opportunity to really 'teach' and share this (as he states is his intention). I searched for an audio book hoping that might help, but no such luck.
BUT...I didn't give up and hope other readers, past & future, will find this helpful - either do a search on Gooogle or do a search on YouTube for "Ana B'Koach" and you will find several videos that have songs and pronunciation to help you. There's one or two that I found very pleasant to listen to before sleep and upon wakening. I'm trying this for a while as I continue to try to memorize the words. [...] and [...] -if you watch this through to the end, there is a voice over with the words that goes slowly through the pronunciation. After many times repeating, I am slowly getting it. Now I can listen to other sung versions and follow. There's also a nice written guide here: [...]
I would read the book first, then reference it in parallel with the videos to hear it and really learn and internalize it. And I'm sure, as I firmly believe what you send out you receive, you will start to see changes.
Good luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Genesis Prayer, December 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I read the background, stories and practical aspects of the book, which would be very easy for the average reader.
I then embarked right away, on using the formula, and as prescribed; "for the good of others". Well, i not only had
my desire granted once, but twice...the second outcome being the means to finally fulfill my
life's dream!

Pronunciation is important here, and the more accurate the better. Don't let that stop you though, from doing
the best you can, should you need help right away from "above". Anyone who speaks good Hebrew can
help you with the words, yet it may be best to have help from someone who has mastered these sounds on a
higher level of consciousness AND pronunciation. I think that that knowing can aid in going deeper into the well
of spiritual beauty and mastery that comes with connections to the Kabbalistic Mysteries.

I am sure that anyone who has actually tried this method, with some faith and in an open-minded manner,
has no need to argue about it here. Just be careful what you wish for, because, when the ego is in charge,
it can make a mess out of a beautiful dream. One good thing; In this system, the elements put in motion by The
Prayer, help to fill-in for us where we fall short in our own nature, when approaching G-D.

Also, this work is not a personal concoction of Rav Berg's or the author, it is a well-known piece which is given
full credence in the general Jewish population, and mystical community thereof.

I must say that this is a very direct and beautiful way to connect with G-D and the Angels, as well as a means for
self-refinement, healing of self and others, and for receiving the gifts that the world has to offer. It is also stated here,
that the prayer is a means to help invoke the presence of the Messiah into the world, to enlighten other people to it's
extraordinary transformative purpose, and a way to pass-on the intent and power of the Ancient Mystics,
who formulated and contributed to it's wealth, to the People! As a regularly used meditation tool, i am sure that
much progress could be made in uncovering knowledge of the self and the greater reality, with it's use.

Peace and Blessings on your path!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful results when using for myself and others..., March 4, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Genesis Prayer: The Ancient Secret That Can Grant You Miracles (Paperback)
I was looking for a book while doing some researching my product and I came upon this book. Although I do not understand all of the mathematical theories behind the Genesis Prayer, I do understand the power of prayer. After reading and re-reading, I started using the Genesis Prayer as part of my paradigm in the creation of all Zenspiration Gardens. A skeptic at heart, I have to say that this prayer instills a deeper connection with the Universe and it has shown me greater possibilities for myself and others than I'd ever imagined.

I now use this and other prayers as part of my daily routine as I pray for others and at times when I need some extra help. It has never let me down. Perhaps you can find some solace in using this prayer for yourself and others. Merry Street/Zenspiration Gardens - www.Zen-opolis.com

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, but how do you PRONOUNCE the names?!, December 29, 2007

This review is from: The Genesis Prayer: The Ancient Secret That Can Grant You Miracles (Paperback)
The book was interesting, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to actually *properly pronounce* the prayer. Didn't anybody think of that before publishing this book? I've even searched online and come up with nothing.

I'd love to know how to say the prayer so as to memorize it and actually use it---but I can't, because I have no idea whether I'm doing it correctly.

Oh well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sacred Prayer for Tom's Cat?, September 13, 2011
By
P. Foster (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have just started my read of the "Genesis Prayer" and must say that so far I find the personal 'miracles'
off-putting. I cannot understand the spiritual necessity of learning a centruies old Aramaic prayer (based on the teachings of the Kabbalah and Tree of Life) to stop a crying kitten at night or to produce a UPS driver in time to deliver a dress for Rosh Hashanah! In a world filled with utter chaos, broad scale suffering and tragic global conditions, are these the kind of 'miracles' we're after?

My purpose for purchasing the book was to see what profound ancient teachings might open new doors into universal and spiritual connectedness to 'All That Is' and as it turns out, I am completely dumfounded by
the overall premise of this book.

Should dying people recite the prayer to avert death? What about hunger...will mysterious packages of Subway sandwiches show up? What about devastating floods...will it turn back the rising tides to spare a town from peril?

And the list goes on... please excuse the sarcasm, but it is a bit much to swallow. I have no problem with people using such principles to improve their health; reverse or lessen serious medical issues; overcome financial difficulties and such...I think the power of prayer has been scientifically proven for the past decade...but when I read the individual stories outlined throughout the book, I can't get pass this feeling of out right "bs".

I will try to finish the book, since I realize that Mr. Meiliken is using mathematics and Quantum principles to validate the power and efficacy of the "Genesis Prayer".

There is certaintly 'nothing new under the sun' as the Bible and other Ancient documents will attest; and the
"Genesis Prayer", in my humble opinion, is simply a new twist on the Kabbalah, the Law of Attraction and other so-called "secret" universal teachings.
