Genesis is the highlight of Grimes' "Visions", it's a nice thick slice of dreamy surrealist pop heaven! I wish they would have included the intro on the album that they did on the music video, however. But it's still a mesmerizing track. Grimes RULES!

Her growth is obvious if you familiarize yourself with her earlier offerings. It's interesting to see her perform live, as she ususally does so with a small palette of electronic instruments and often uses the area between her chin and shoulder as a mic stand. Check her out on You Tube for clarification :-)

My favorite ballet teacher plays this song to help us warm up in her modern class and I fell in love with it. It's one of those songs that just takes you away. Grimes is truly an original!

Amazing song. Can't believe I've never heard it until recently. Yhen a goth/industrial DJ played it and I had to use Shazam immediately! Thankfully it worked.

I did not know what to think of this when i first saw the video. This video and song are what every acid trip should look and sound like. The crazy lookin alien chick in the video is hott, i wanna be abducted by her asap. the song is really cool indie-electronica with dreamy vocals that are a tad hard to understand at first but even though you dont know exactly what shes saying, you will still be singing it all day long as it is very catchy. Overall i like the song and video very much and plan on buying the album when i have the $$$.

I came across this song through a usual random progression on YouTube and it's been stuck in my head for a couple weeks now.
If you are looking for a song to relax with or pass out to this song fits the bill.
It is also worth noting that the version of the song from the album is 1:20 shorter than the YouTube video version. The intro still builds for a while but it doesn't take as long as the video.
I would include a lyrical content section but the song isn't cryptic.
