Sudent Friendly; Sometimes Wordy but Easy to Understand
This book explains genetics concepts in a clear manner. It is was described to me as both teacher friendly and student friendly. I can easily see how it could indeed be both, though I can only comment on it from a teacher p.o.v. It is the book I've chosen to prepare my class from, and I would highly recommend it for any Genetics class.

Is this really new?
I received the book in a timely fashion which is good. However, the book did not have the shrink-wrap around it and the edges were severely beat up (I assume it is used because the actual new ones have an insert within the shrink-wrap as well). In addition, it looks like they changed their mind about using a box after they put it in a box considering my name and address...

This textbook is one of the best science textbooks that I have read. The figures are amazing in detail and attract the attention of the reader. Genetics is fun with this textbook!

I received the book in a timely fashion which is good. However, the book did not have the shrink-wrap around it and the edges were severely beat up (I assume it is used because the actual new ones have an insert within the shrink-wrap as well). In addition, it looks like they changed their mind about using a box after they put it in a box considering my name and address was cut off a box and taped onto a UPS envelope with packing tape which is where the beat up cover corners could have been produced. First time I've ever had a problem with an Amazon textbook item; I will hesitate before buying a hardcover through them again.
