The Clock has a clean black and white look, and I find the look of the hands very nice. The outer diameter is 16". The diameter of the face itself is about 12.5". Easy to read from any point in my house where I can see it. Keeps perfect time so far (installed about one week at time of this review). This clock is powered by a single AA battery. I don't know what more you could ask for in a battery powered wall clock.
