We bought this clock for our small office after construction and repainting. When we opened up the box be could not believe our eyes, it was perfect! Some plastic clocks can appear cheap even at a distance, not this one. Well done!!

**UPDATE** A few days after writing this review, the clock turned out to be far more `disposable' than I thought. The hands are now stuck and it no longer works. I regret purchasing it. Changed to 1 star rating. Original review is below.

Nice faux antique look and has lost no time after 2 months.

I've been through several of these types of clocks over the past 4 years: Quartz movement, battery operated. The larger ones seem to stop working after one to two years. I have tried, to no avail, to repair the movements. Eh. So I now tend to look for lower prices and consider them `disposables'*. That's a shame. My much older ones still work.

For the price this is a great clock, and I will hope that its lifespan is longer than my past clocks.

See above for UPDATE. Clock no longer works.

*I refurbish my non-working clocks by unscrewing the back screws and removing everything but the glass. I cut heavy cardboard as backing to screw back in, and carefully drill/install picture hanging hardware. I have a room of unique picture frames now. `Disposable' takes on new meaning ; )

I love this clock it has very rich colors and looks like it has a metal finish. The only thing is that I thought that it would be a little bit bigger. I think that because the sides have such a steep angle it makes it seem smaller in the space. It sticks out from the wall further than the picture makes it seem ( but only a few inches). But overall I am very pleased with the general design and it helped me pull of a old world theme. Love the color and love the finish!
