5.0 out of 5 stars Sensational, January 12, 2009

This book should be a bestseller. I couldn't put it down. I felt I knew the characters, so deep, so beautifully, so carefully does the author craft his thoughts and feelings as the story evolves I just couldn't wait to read on and on and on. You know you are reading an exceptional book when you go back to re-read paragraphs that have been written so well you can imagine and picture the instance so perfectly. At one point I was laughing so much I had stomach ache and re-read the scene about 10 times. At another point I felt so terribly sad, so sad. Anyone living with bi-polar disorder MUST read this book.

Once I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down. The story is very heartfelt, raw, and honest. If you're looking for a page turner, I suggest you pick this up immediately and head to your favorite reading spot.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comments on Geneva, January 9, 2008
This review is from: Geneva (Paperback)
Finished the book yesterday, it was excellent. Parts were happy, parts were sad and some were very humorous; I guess that's life. In some sections I could see myself in many of the character's comments, feelings, actions and reactions. I have only one correction...I think he was Rabbi not a Pastor. Oh thats right it was fiction, keep forgetting that. Looking forward to more books by this talented writer. Joe C

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Found After Divorce, May 8, 2008
This review is from: Geneva (Paperback)
Can two wrongs eventually make a right? "Geneva" is a story of that possibly being true. An aspiring author meets a gorgeous woman, maybe a little bit crazy, and they seem to hit it off - although mostly in the bedroom. They soon realize that this was all a mistake, their first wrong - and soon divorce in nasty and angry fashion - they soon learn was their second wrong. In the time that follows, the two realize there have been more to their odd relationship than just the sex - a love for one another that they both had ignored until it seems it's far too late?

4.0 out of 5 stars Kept you reading!, April 12, 2008

Having lived in Hermosa for a number of years, this was really fun to read, for Scott captured the feel of this unique little beach town well, where, for better or worse, the odds of running into a "Geneva" are much higher here than most places in this world! My first thought when finishing this book was: "If I was a writer and this happened to me, you were duty-bound to put it in a book!". The style captured the imagination and you feel like you are there in most scenes (and in some of them, I have been in those scenes!). Riveting book that is hard to put down. Like a slow motion train wreck happening and you are just waiting for the impact. A troubled, but interesting woman, whose actions bring the reader through a journey of your own beliefs on courtships, relationships, gamesmanship, and ultimately, to follow the theme, a sinking ship. Great book overall by Mr. Gallagher, and besides some editing issues which are prevalant throughout the book, I highly recommend it.
