Bought two transmitters for the price of one if bought from any local Genie retailers. They work perfectly. Great buy.

Product was shipped quickly. This is the 2nd opener i have, the other is a Overhead Door brand, which opens the door when you are further away than the Genie does.

I have two door openers on my garage, manufactured in 1999. I use the GIT-2 model remote. Based on the advertised model number and photograph of the remote I needed I ordered a replacement GIT-2 remote. I was sent a GITR-3 model remote. Experience and internet research have proven that the GITR-3 will not work with more than one door opener of this vintage. It will program successfully with one opener but not a second opener. I have communicated with Genie and was advised to replace one of the opener receivers. Of course, all I need is an older model transmitter. Why Genie would choose to make incompatible replacement transmitters is a mystery.

Item was exactly as described. Came with battery already installed, just had to program to my opener. Worked like a charm! Had absolutely no problems with it.

We just bought a house and one of the garage door openers left for us didn't work. I ordered this, and programmed it the day it arrived. The Genie GIT-2 dual button transmitter was really easy to program. The instructions with the package are very clear. Basically, push the Learn Code button on your opener so the red led flashes, push the button on the transmitter you want to program twice, and you're good to go.

The only con is that we need to be around 10-15 feet of our garage door before it works. Not a huge deal breaker, but it does have short range.

I bought this 2 button transmitter after learning from Genie that the Genie GICT390-3 Garage Door Opener Compact 3-button Intellicode Remote Transmitter, purchased at a local retailer, was not 'completely compatible' with my older door openers (1995-1997 era). I could only program one button.

This transmitter is almost as small, cost much less and WORKS.

When we bought the house and it didn't come with a garage door opener, we ordered two of these. We were a little nervous after reading a few reviews saying you basically had to be on top of the garage door before it would work. I don't know what to tell those chaps; we hit the button before we get to our driveway, and the door opens every time. We don't live in Beverly Hills, so our driveway isn't the length of a football field or anything, but if that were the case, I wouldn't need it to open minutes in advance either.

This works great. We have an Overhead Door Garage, the Genie worked great instantly, and was super super easy to code. That said, it doesn't really come with any sort of useful instructions, and the three-line sheet it does come with is just about useless. Read other reviews for check a forum for exact instructions - though I promise, my husband and I realized it was really easy to set once we threw away the little instruction sheet!

It's been three months and we're going strong.
