A few issues, but otherwise does what it is suppose to.,

Following the instructions, the set up of the following device was quick and easy with very little problem. It works as it claims it does, allowing you to use a code in order to open your garage, thus allowing you to keep a garage door opener outside, which is very useful for someone like me, with a detached garage.
This device lights up when any button is hit, thus allowing you to see it in the dark. The buttons are quite large, and the device is actually larger than the last one I owned, which is a good thing in this case, as you don't have to worry about button slippage as much when you have gloves on in the cold. The reason it has a 4 star and not a 5 is because of two problems. First off, even when typing the code in correctly, it doesn't always work. Sometimes I need to retype the entire code, sometimes, just the open button, but for whatever reason, buttons occasionally do not register and you have to type the code in 2-3 times. My old one did this too, so that is not as big of a deal as my other problem. The other problem is that the top cover is rather flimsy and does not stay on the device. It frequently falls of and I have to snap it back on. Just about every other time I use the device, simply picking up the lid causes it to snap off its' rather weak attachment to the keypad. It is annoying, not horrible, and the device still works fine. It pops back on just as easy as it pops off, but it is still a nuisance.

Easy to program, easy to install, easy to use. We have not found that the cover falls off with use when properly attached contrary to another review. I installed this on my own while my husband was out of town. With four drivers in our household now, this product is perfect. Everyone can enter through the garage with the push of a few buttons. Our ten year old now enters and exits the house this way to play, keeping cool air and bugs out of the house and maintaining the security of our garage and home.

Cheaply built and designed - bound to break quickly,

I am amazed that Genie, a company associated with good products can release a product like this in good conscience. First of all, the hinge design is such that about half the time you open the cover, one or the other side will pop off. The cheap flimsy plastic hinges are "C" shaped rather than a full circle, and will break in a short matter of time. Secondly, the remote often will reject your first entry of the door code, so usually you have to enter it twice.
The older wireless keypad with the slide up cover was a much superior design and worked. This seems to me to be an attempt to make something as cheaply as possible. It does not live up to the Genie name. Unfortunately this is the ONLY keypad they sell, so you have little option other than getting this. It's only good for occasional use at best. Heavy users will have a broken cover in no time at all.

The Genie GWKPD-BL New Wireless Keypad with Intellicode was easy to install, easy to setup, and it is working well. My only complaint/comment is that the plastic case that it is enclosed in is rather flimsy for outside use. I ended up cracking the back of the case when I installed it using a power screwdriver.

I had a few problems using until I tried various methods of inputting the numbers. You need to push each button long enough to see the LED light flicker. If you push fast and it only flashes once, the code will not work. Now it never fails. Also, the keypad only illuminates after the first button push, so your first push is in the dark. Plan your code number accordingly. Otherwise, very easy to set up install and use.

The keypad garage door opener is a great convenience. The Genie Intellicode model works great and provides a great deal of security. Only one problem with it. The hinge which connects the flip-up cover and the main device is rather poorly designed and "chintzy". Otherwise, it's a great product.

This is a great product, one I should have purchased way before now.
I didn't realize how much of a hassle it was to come inside and go open the garage door when riding the motorcycle. Now I'm instantly in with this keypad. Installation was a breeze and it is very sturdy - not cheap at all. Some have complained at having to enter the code multiple times to get it to work... I've found every once in awhile I have to hit up\down more than once, but only cause I'm not hitting it dead center... not an issue.

As a couple of other reviews have noted, this works on Overhead Door brand openers. My opener is 5 years old and has the newer "Rolling Code" technology. Since it worked I would assume GENIE's Intellicode technology is one in the same.
Having read about the flimsy flip door I was surprised that this door seemed pretty sturdy. A couple of friends have other brand keypads and this one is superior to those. Good instructions, worked the first try. Easier to program than my car Homelink was.

I had tough time programming this keypad, and the performance was about one out of ten tries that worked. The main issue ended up being that the receiver would not respond to the keypad unless it was in a very close proximity to it, inside the garage, which defeats the whole purpose of having the keypad.
