I purchased a set of these garage door sensors to replace the original ones that were acting up. Well long story short, I ended up having to call out a garage door person to get them to work properly. The problem was in the alignment of the sensors. Even when I had the garage door people out, it took them awhile to get them to work properly. The problem ended up being that the field of the beam was too broad, so every time we hit the button to close the door, the door would close fine until it passed the area where the sensors were, and then it would fault out and return the door back up. We checked everything and NOTHING was in the way of the beam. The service tech finally had to bend out the receiving sensor to face more into the garage to keep the sensor from faulting out when the door would pass by that area. So, I ended up paying the door company a $55.00 service call just to bent out the bracket so they would work properly. So if you run into this issue, just angle the receiving bracket away from the door a bit more and you should be fine. Other than that, once we resolved this issue, they seem to work OK.

Used to replace the safety beams in a 10 year old Genie. These fit the existing brackets and wiring. Works fine.

I am a hopeless Novice when it comes to electrical stuff. If I could do it, you can. Awesome replacement product. If wiring is already there it is a pleasure to perform a replacement. Worked just fine with my Genie Bluemax 1/3 HP 7500 series, circa 1993. Original safety eyes had plug in connectors.(male/female), and had only one red light on L. These have wire(stripped) connectors. So, you strip the wires, connect until u get a Red light on L, then do the same until u get a green light on R. Remember, the wires ( charge, and connections) go from the opener to L and then to the R (as you enter the garage) And then it should work. It did for me!!..............and I did not get electrocuted. ( I did wear rubber gloves, the kind you use in the kitchen sink. )

Very easy install. Remove old broken sensor. Install new ones. Worked perfect immediately without any 'beam' aiming issues.

Works but getting the path of the sensors seems to not be very good. I have the send/receiver pair pointed exactly at each other and they don't detect an obstacle correctly. I move them around and eventually get it to work.

These were great replacement safety beams. They are a newer model but still work great. I'm happy that my garage door works properly again.

I ordered to replace a faulty sensor on my garage door. The sensor was a little different design that required replacing it and the bracket. Everything works fine, it's nice to get my opener working again. Delivery was prompt, as expected.
