Well, first I'm a professor radiologist at the same institution as the main author of this book; in fact I was one of his teachers during his residency. His 'Requisites' on GU Radiology is excellent, so I would expect this book to approach the same qualities - I really cannot imagine a 1* rating except from a resident not really well trained in GU radiology - now, I've not review this book but would certainly recommend reading the more positive review. At the least before a purchase, I would suggest at least looking at this effort at a bookstore!

There are well-written synopses following each case, but the most valuable aspect of the book was the carefully chosen journal/book chapter references. I found that reviewing these cases with the corresponding references was much much better use of my time than reading than the GU requistes textbook. Highly recommended... I felt well prepared after working through the book.

I went through the case review series for the boards and thought they were great. Some were better than others, it's true - but this was one of the good ones. All I can surely say is that this was the only dedicated GU book I used (with a quick review of the Requisites)and did well on the GU section.

This book is not designed as intended for a board review. It is fill of CAQ level cases, with less than optimal images and is set in a 'what am i thinking' format. A waste of time and money.
