I bought this product for my son who is 15 and enjoys drawing using the computer. His computerized drawings and coloring are more true to his design and idea since purchasing this product. The lines of his drawings are now straight/softer, not jagged/harsh and the coloring in the drawings has the appearance of a painting. Now his drawings look like a painting or an animated picture from a comic book instead of a scanned in pencil and paper picture. Loading the software and attaching it to the computer was easy. He was able to do it without any assistance. He loves it!

I have owned 2 drawing tablets (Wacom and this one). This tablet is very frustrating because at least twice a day the tablet quits responding to clicks. It is fine for drawing but I use it in place of a mouse and become very frustrated when trying to tap with the pen. At least once a week I have to open the pen and turn the battery or change it. The Wacom never did this even though it was about six years old.

I will never buy a tablet that uses batteries again.

For everyday use, I would recommend purchasing a better tablet.

This tablet is a great value. It is well built, with enough weight to keep it securely on your desk, and a smooth and finished feel. The pen is sturdy enough, though not the best I've used. Button placement on the pen is mediocre. The mouse works, but the scroll wheel is only an up/down toggle button with software scrolling. Engineering seems good, and the unit works well. The pen holder is well placed.

Overall, for the price, this is an excellent buy. However, at this price range, Genius should have considered the fact that people would be using it with the popular free software Gimp, a Photoshop alternative. The tablet does NOT currently work properly with the latest version of Gimp under Windows 7.

Ok guys so I got this to check out tablet mouses. And came across this one. I was a bit cautious of this one because of some reviews. I checked Youtube for some demos and I found none. So I figured for the price its worth the risk. It arrived quickly and in great shape it comes with the tablet, a cheap mouse, and a pen. I don't use the mouse they give you because I believe I have a better one and they both work on my pc.

My uses for this. I just use it for fun. I like this game called draw my thing and that's the primary reason that I got it. But I also use it for paint. To draw some random ideas.

Reliability. It is working perfectly. The reaction time is fast and I didn't notice any lag.

Setup. Very easy just plug it in and wait a few seconds. Like 45 seconds and there it works. It is compatible for Windows 7. You can also use the driver disk it comes with.

Contents: 1.Cordless Pen(1) 2.tablet(1) 3. AAA Batteries (1 pair) 4. Installation disk (1) 5. extended free trial for Adobe Photoshop And color painter (1) 6. Cordless Mouse (1) 7. Users manual (1) 8. Sheet of Paper explaining the installation of battery in Pen (1) 9. Extra tips (2) 10. Tip removal tool IDK (1)

Battery Installation: Easy basic common sense needed. Just grab on both ends of the pen and pull slowly. It opens up easily and exposes the battery slot. Place one AAA battery with the Negative (-) side with the spring and slide it in. Then gently close the pen.

Satisfaction: very satisfied :)

That's it. Hope this helps someone. Thank you for reading.

This is my first tablet - I got it so I could take notes in classes that don't lend themselves to just traditional typing. At first I thought it would be too small, but it's actually plenty big enough for writing on, yet plenty small enough to travel around with my laptop no problem at all. It's very easy to use - after the initial set up, it's just plug-and-play. I've got a lot of use out of it and it's surprisingly easy to write clear, neat notes. Yeah, it's not the best tablet you can get, but for the price it's a great tablet for anyone who just wants a little more flexibility than just a mouse and keyboard.

i bought this in october wanting to use it for my art, when it got here i was so glad
that pluged it in right away and fell in love with it.its a little confusing at first i have to admit, but once you get use to it,its so fun you wont want to put it down.the things that confused me at fist was:how to make it move while im drawing whithout messing up my picture,it took me a while but i found out that if you take the pen and hover over the tablet(about an inch)itll still move and not mess up what your working on.all in all i give it a 4 outta 5.

plus its not too high, and its a perfect starter table

I got what I paid for. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the misleading capability. This is a glorified mouse/pen and pad. It has no accuracy and repeatability. The upper-left hand corner of the pad does not correspond to the upper-left hand corner of my screen (I used Windows-Paint). If I lift the pen off the pad, I have to hunt for the point where I left it. All too often I'm running out of screen before I'm running out of pad. And most definitely don't buy this to trace anything, it won't work. As I said, the price is right for technology, but the technology was not right for my needs, mostly drawing and tracing.
